Obama Announces That Americans Doing THIS Is More Dangerous Than Terrorism

President Barack Obama has let his anti-gun sentiments be clearly known and has all but waged open war against gun owners and the Second Amendment during his time in the Oval Office.
Unfortunately for him, most of his attempts at implementing further control over guns in America have fallen flat, with gun owners and Congress pushing back every time he tries something new.
Obama recently told the BBC that this is one of the greatest frustrations that he has had to deal with while in power, before going on to declare that guns in the hands of American citizens poses a greater threat than terrorism.
Obama said, “If you look at the number of Americans killed since 9/11 by terrorism, it’s less than 100. If you look at the number that have been killed by gun violence, it’s in the tens of thousands.”
He added, “The United States of America is the one advanced nation on earth in which we do not have sufficient common-sense, gun-safety laws.”
According to Breitbart though, Obama fails to mention how many of the “mass killings” and “gun violence” he so laments were perpetrated by radical Islamic jihadists, or by mentally unstable drug users, or by crazy leftist ideologues, or by criminals that already shouldn’t have access to guns.
Setting aside for the moment the apples-to-oranges claim Obama makes about about how many Americans have been killed by terrorism versus gun violence, or his debunked claims that America is the only “advanced” nation to suffer “mass shootings” and gun violence, it is obvious that the vast majority of Americans simply don’t believe him anymore when it comes to gun control.
Take for example the current Holy Grail of the gun control movement, “universal background checks.” This would supposedly expand criminal background checks to all gun purchases, even those between two private individuals, to ensure that prohibited people aren’t getting their hands on guns.
However, the good folks at Breitbart took the time to compile a list of alleged “mass shooters” from just the past few years (since the tragic massacre at Sandy Hook elementary school, where the shooter never should have obtained a gun but nevertheless passed a background check and got one anyway).
Breitbart notes, “attackers and alleged attackers like John Russell Houser (Lafayette), Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez (Chattanooga), Dylann Roof (Charleston), Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi (Garland), Jared and Amanda Miller (Las Vegas), Elliot Rodger (Santa Barabara), Ivan Lopez (Fort Hood 2014), Darion Marcus Aguilar (Maryland mall), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Paul Ciancia (LAX), Andrew John Engeldinger (Minneapolis), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), and Tennis Melvin Maynard (West Virginia), acquired guns via a background check.”
It is increasingly obvious to most rational Americans that the background check system is fundamentally flawed, and rather than be expanded as it is, it should be completely scrapped, or at the very least dramatically reformed in such a way as to stop insane criminals from legally purchasing weapons they shouldn’t have but also avoid inconveniencing law-abiding citizens.
Unfortunately, Obama is neither rational nor reasonable when it comes to gun control, as he vowed to the BBC that “(This) is not something that I intend to stop working on in the remaining 18 months [of my administration].”
