U.S. Police Bow Down to Sharia Law, Put Officers in Danger to Appease Muslims

http://conservativetribune.com/police-bow-shariah-law/

Dearborn, Mich., has earned the moniker “Dearbornistan” for its large Muslim population and its general capitulation to the whims of that population. While not in the city proper, Dearborn Heights still suffers from the same problems, and it’s now made an insane capitulation to Muslims after a lawsuit brought against its police.

The case involved Malak Kazan, a woman who refused to have her hijab removed during booking. Kazan eventually filed a lawsuit, which has just been settled out of court.

Among other things, it allows Muslim women to keep their hijab on during the booking process, in spite of the fact that they could easily be hiding illegal (and dangerous) items under them.

According to The Arab-American News, the new policy will also ensure that if a female police officer is not available to pat a female suspect in hijab down, a female dispatcher or employee will do it instead of a trained police officer.

“I think this is the best policy that any local municipality or law enforcement agency can have for their inmates and Muslim women,” said Amir Makled, one of Kazan’s attorneys. “This will be used as the base line for all local enforcement agencies to set a policy and mirror what we have here.”

Yes, that’s right. Not only is this now the official policy of the Dearborn Heights Police Department, but her attorney now wants to make this the law of the land.

While I completely understand religious liberty, public safety comes first. Police aren’t asking women to take off their hijab to humiliate or demean them, they’re doing it for reasons of public safety.

If there’s probable cause that you should be considered a threat to society (and why else would you be booked into a jail?) the police have every right to search as diligently as necessary — Shariah law be damned.
