acquired a Dean Markley piezo transducer at a yard sale for 2 $ .. and wondering what sort of substance to use to stick it to the guitar the putty like substance on it now is dried out but was more pliable a few weeks back when it stuck, and worked good, now it seems drier, and really don't want the transducer to fall off and possibly break? is 2 way foam tape an alternative? what did the transducer originally have on it from the Dean Markley factory to stick to guitars?

info from m-friend website:
"The Dean Markley Artist Transducer is simple and effective. A small transducer, housed in a maple disk, sticks to the surface of your guitar near the bridge with a special adhesive. The adhesive allows the Dean Markley transducer to be removed and re-stuck many times without affecting your guitar's finish. This Dean Markley pickup also works great on violins, cellos, mandolins, pianos, even horns. "

More putty. Foam will mess with the acoustic properties of your Axe. Might also buzz. Buzz is bad, unless it's good.

silly putty? artist's clay?, gasket adhesive? why won't they tell us what's in the secret ingerdients? LOL

Gee, I'm really sorry that a vegan co-op of transgender occupy Wall St weirdos didn't start up a nonprofit to give this technology away for free!
