How can you say that? It is
always the extremists who win elections. Middle of the road is where you get run over. They only have to fool the middle electorate.
I can respect Bernie Sanders for being an honest Socialist. At least he owns it.
The real polywonks* (partisans of a Party at the lowest levels) understand the extreme candidate's hidden references when talking in polingo* and saying what the public in front of them at the moment wants to hear.
ONLY the extreme Candidate can get people to work for them, or get them to the polls....either for
or against.
Extremism has gone to a whole new level with the current President. Bernie Sanders is
much less dangerous. Obama is, and always has been, the most extreme of the extreme left. He is uniquely able to fool the middle better than any other leftist in American history, clearly. He schooled Clinton, after all.
Did you know that he first ran for public office as a Socialist in 1996 as Candidate for the extreme radical "New Party"? He is, and always has been, surrounded by extreme leftists that would make Bernie look more like Barney.
really....you should take off those partisan sunglasses and examine this guy:

** a mega-corporation you will never hear the Left complain about though they pay no taxes, and get the lion's share of "stimulus" money from Obama
CORRECTION: I didn't make up polywonk. There is evidently already a use for that word, and by golly, it still works in this context.
