Christians Get Ready for Civil Disobedience over Gay Marriage Ruling

That the movement to make homosexual "marriage" a right is really about putting Christianity "in its place" is no secret.
So it's probably long overdue that pastors, ministers, and other Christian leaders finally take a stand against the federal government's rush to overthrow the definition of marriage as between a man and woman going back to Adam and Eve.
And by "take a stand," they don't mean just speaking out against the insane practice of pretending that two men or two women are the equivalent of a marriage, or that children don't need a mother and a father. Pastors have been speaking out about just that for years.
Nobody's been listening except for the proverbial choir.
So now, it appears we will finally be taking the next step.
Civil disobedience.
There are, frankly, a lot of things that have occurred under the current regime in Washington that I would have thought would get people marching in the streets, but one thing about us conservatives, we always want to give the lawful way of changing things a try first.
Conservatives are not like liberals, whom we've seen in action over the past week in Baltimore. We don't have a track record of taking over business lobbies, smashing store windows or overturning cop cars at the drop of a hat, without hearing both sides of a story.
So it's noteworthy that Christian leaders have been signing a pledge aimed at the Supreme Court, that says in part, "While there are many things we can endure, redefining marriage is so fundamental to the natural order and the common good that this is the line we must draw and one we cannot and will not cross."
The signers -- who include names like Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Franklin Graham and others -- are not exaggerating the danger posed by potentially making homosexual marriage the law of the land.
Especially not when the Obama Administration attorneys admitted, during the recent SCOTUS hearing, that if "gay marriage" is approved by the court, then religious schools teaching that marriage is between one man and one woman could lose their tax-exempt status.
That would just be the beginning. And considering the rush by homosexuals and certain states to punish Christian businesses, the specter of government oppression of the Christian religion is suddenly looming large.
Chief Justice John Roberts asked the Obama Administration's attorney pointedly about whether religious schools that offer married housing would have to offer it to homosexuals as well, but he didn't get a clear answer.
That's because the Left knows that if "gay marriage" is declared as being protected by the Constitution, liberals are going to go hard after traditional churches and religious schools, under the theory recently expressed by Hillary Clinton, that the power of government should be used to change individual religious beliefs.
That's your basic sword-point conversion, and that's the sort of thing that led to the Crusades.
Liberals may not like it, but it's simply fact that this country was founded on biblical principles and related philosophical concepts like Natural Law. Marriage is a part of that ancient law and precedes any government.
It's not government's place to redefine marriage. Rather, it's government's place to defend marriage, and any government that doesn't, the petition signers are suggesting, is an unjust government that has neglected the very reason for its existence: to protect our God-given rights.
As such, it is no longer a government deserving of our obedience.
