Who are they?

Internet Trolls, of which we have many here.

They post moronic irrelevant pictures, make irrelevant comments and add all manner of distractions to posts that reveal opposition to political agendas. They frequently change ISP and constantly log in using different screen names. The only thing they can't hide behind is their behavior, and that is how you find them. Look up government hired trolls and you will find so much about them. Ever give serious consideration as to why every topic relevant to todays illegal political activity get side tracked? It is because of hirelings. How do you rid your threads of them? Point out what they are by their actions and ignore their posts. Let them go without comment or set it straight while exposing them. One of them just took a breather to come back again as a new identity. Just don't get sucked in like mindless sheep when they try to herd you in a new direction.

Federal government routinely hires internet trolls, shills to monitor chat rooms, disrupt article comment sections

(NaturalNews) You've probably run into them before -- those seemingly random antagonizers who always end up diverting the conversation in an online chat room or article comment section away from the issue at hand, and towards a much different agenda. Hot-button issues like illegal immigration, the two-party political system, the "war on terror" and even alternative medicine are among the most common targets of such attackers, known as internet "trolls" or "shills," who in many cases are nothing more than paid lackeys hired by the federal government and other international organizations to sway and ultimately control public opinion.

Several years ago, Canada's CTV News aired a short segment about how its own government had been exposed for hiring secret agents to monitor social media and track online conversations, as well as the activities of certain dissenting individuals. This report, which in obvious whitewashing language referred to such activities as the government simply "weighing in and correcting" allegedly false information posted online, basically admitted that the Canadian government had assumed the role of secret online police. At the time, this was a great unknown to the general Canadian public.

Of course, the same type of online patrolling by the government is also happening in the U.S., particularly from the CIA and its infamous In-Q-Tel program. At a 2012 summit, former CIA director David Petraeus essentially admitted that the CIA has a covert online presence that it uses not only for data mining purposes but also to infiltrate online conversations for the purpose of protecting "national security" interests. Such interests, it turns out, include disrupting conversations that discuss topics like 9/11 truth, for instance, or U.S. involvement in giving weapons to Syrian rebels.

According to Occupy Corporatism, the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), which was recently exposed by American hero and whistleblower Edward Snowden for its illegal surveillance programs, has devised a training program that literally scouts out hackers from American colleges and universities and recruits them to work for the government. Among the many duties sought from those enrolled in the National Centers of Academic Excellence in the Cyber Operations Program are "collection, exploitation, and response" activities to take place in the online environment.

"These 'cyber operators' are trained to become an elite team of 'computer geniuses' that are experts in computer hacking, digital communications, cyber intelligence -- for the purpose of spying on Americans, as well as conducting interactive digital psy-ops with users of the internet," explains Occupy Corporatism about the program.

You can view the actual NSA announcement admitting this here:

Alleged former 'shill' admits that trolling operations are real
Then there is the occasional confession by a former employee of the government who fesses up about what is really taking place in secret behind the scenes. A recent public posting on a "conspiracy theory" forum -- conspiracy websites are typically the most heavily targeted by government officials -- admits that individuals are constantly being recruited and hired by shadowy groups and government-affiliated agencies to manipulate online discussions.

"Shills exist," writes this anonymous ex-shill following a lengthy explanation of how he was hand-selected to pose as a normal commenter and basically lie on forums and in comment sections. "They are real. They walk among you ... You should be aware of this," he adds.

It should be noted that the alternative news website where this confession was recently re-posted was asked by the conspiracy website where it was originally posted to take it down, claiming that it is "libelous and utterly false," even though it does not name any specific names or identify who is behind these and other shill operations. When asked for an explanation, the conspiracy website in question simply stopped responding.

I'm on record, I like them. I get tired of the Amen Chorus here, and the bible talk. Cite the bible, I skip ahead some.
I wish Planet Guy could debate without totally going insane. He has some good points, but some innate character flaws that send him into a rage when you dare to disagree with him. I know he has a much longer history debating the rest of you, but I'm not you guys. I deserve a fresh chance. :P

news of my insanity is GREATLY exagerated.

trust me....no one here, and no range war has ever come close to getting me nearly as bugged as you ASSume.

send me "into a rage"? thanks for the chuckle.

like others here....i have strong opinions. and like others here, i'm not afraid to express them.....or call someone out when i think that's called for. and yeah, i've gone to the mat more than a few times w some. my name isn't Spot....i don't roll over. hey, that just means that i have a spine and will stand up for myself, my buds, and my beliefs.

....exactly the same as any number of others here.

interesting perception you've come away w there.

now, as to the "Amen Chorus" and the BM Conservartive Choir's tiresome daily laments about the latest atrocity perpetrated by dems/libs/obama/etc ....and them jawing about today's latest gov't conspirancy....well, i've decided to stay out of the way of that circle jerk. let them solve the ills of the world bitching to one another and the dozen or so people here on the BM forums.

i understand the need of these folks to vent and blow off steam, but i have no desire for further debate w them. doing so might come under the heading of Einstein's definition of insanity.....doing the same thing over and and over and expecting a different result. meh.

....someone go long cos' i'm gonna pass.

as far as vinny or anyone else "debating" w cartoons, altered photos, youtube clips, etc... i appreciate the counterpoint of different views being expressed in what's more often than not a very creative, irreverent, and humorous fashion. yeah, no doubt it's frustrating to the OP who might prefer a line by war of words.....but everybody communicates differently and no one gets to decide for anyone else how they can communicate on a mssg board.

oh, i have a long list of innate character flaws.....but that ain't one of 'em. a very boring place it'd be if we all felt the same about everything.

hmmm, i don't mean this as a slight, schmed... but you're showing yourself (to me) as being much less perceptive than i'd previously given you credit for. take that as you will. i i have no doubt you'll lose little sleep over that assessment. :)

See? There he is. Having a good time. Letting it sway in the wind. I don't think we need to agree on much more than the fact that we both live on music, instead of oxygen. I'm done trying to convince you or anyone of anything. Too much frustration. I'm a city slicker. I've never dealt with beasts of burden.

I'd bet that you guys could sit down with a cold beverage and find that you both agree on the outcome you'd like to see. Your disagreement is only in where we are and how to arrive there.

People who disagree with you present an opportunity for you to make your case. Even if they never agree, they throw out the pitch that can useful in showing others what you believe and why...IF you hit a home run instead of being "foul"

Consider every disagreement a chance to test your temper control. He who holds it best, wins the debate without even winning the point.

It's not an argument that you are trying to win...its a person. Bless those who curse you and despitefully use you. If that doesn't work, chop off their head! (just kidding)

I try to live by the motto, I prefer clarity to agreement. I got that from Dennis Prager, if you don't recognize it. I also try to avoid name calling and all of that stuff. If I'm easy going and someone else is still hostile towards me, just over politics, I usually consider them a total loss. I'm severely outnumbered. In real life and on the internet.

Badstrat you brought up some interesting points in this thread. I question much that gets posted online. But you did raise an interesting premise.

I don't understand how this got dragged off point but it did. Vinny had a tremendous control and way around all the aspects of this site. I just wrote it off to him being extremely talented and knowledgeable. We may never know.

nah....i don't consider having to explain my state of mind when posting (and doing so calmly, w/o name calling, or any hostility) "a good time". you get to make a sweeping statement about me going "insane" and flying into a "rage" at disagreement... and then you cop an attitude, and threaten to pack your toys and go home when i.... disagree?

that's kinda funny. ironic much?

schmedidiah wrote:I try to live by the motto, I prefer clarity to agreement.

well, i think i was pretty clear about how i disagreed w your offhand characterization of my state of mind. shoe on the other foot....it'd be pretty easy for ME to apply that same assessment to your state of mind....

gee, schmed....i'm sorry i sent you "into a rage" and that you had to "go insane" over this.

as i see it, that'd be pretty dismissive and condescending of me, no? not to mention passive aggressive.

this goes back to making sweeping generalizations. i don't like being put in a box. who does?

Who likes being in a box? Good question. I'll be anxiously awaiting the photo response of our favorite government troll/ shill. :D
