Warren Buffet makes 2 billion a year transporting oil via rail tank car. Washington does what Warren Buffet wants! Folks they are going to transport the oil one way or another! Kind of makes one wonder what Obama's agenda is?

Warren Buffet , The ugly American, spent a big wad getting the pipeline canceled. One of the greediest people in America pretending to be a good guy. Where are the all environmentalist greenies who were standing against the pipeline hiding during this episode? Just like Gates. Such good Samaritans at heart. :)

The safest way to move it is through a pipeline period. It is better Americans use the oil than let the Chinese or Russians have it. Energy independence. I would rather buy that oil and move it through a pipeline creating American jobs than buy from and fund the people that want us to convert or die, then ship it over on a supertanker and we all know that safety record!

Where they sell it is up in the air. Thing is, it will be refined in Louisiana and Texas, probably either Port Arthur or Lake Charles. I didn't know it till recently but the US cannot legally export crude, it has to be refined then they can sell it elsewhere. Once it's refined, I have no idea where it will be sold, but the US will get plenty jobs or keep plenty jobs in the refining of it.

Pipeline is definitely the safer means of transport. It's being transported by rail now, on tracks that may or may not be in good repair, and in tanker cars at least 30 years old. The result can be seen on the news any night, one just derailed in West Virginia a couple of days ago. That's about a half dozen the past couple of years. How many pipeline spills have you heard about recently?

But Warren Buffett begged Congress to raise his taxes! Because his secretary pays more than he does. He's a good guy. A really good guy.

Yes he is. Funny thing. He always forgets to mention that he owes the IRS a billion dollars and has been fighting them over that for years. Of course she pays more than he does. He doesn't pay his. And he wants to pay more? Go figure...

Excellent Post Yod ... It is aptly named "Keystone" as in Keystone Cops. Buffet is a Bufoon. It is for the rich to get richer and the common man will see nothing because it is transporting oil to Tankers ships and they are leaving this country. If it were really for the citizens then they would just use trucks. Idiocy at its highest or lowest depending if you are believing the Lies as usual. Wake up you morons.

As expected the pipeline bill has been vetoed. I guess we get to see more train crashes...unless Congress has backbone enough to override it...I'm kinda doubtful.

Pete

It's not about backbone. Congress is as traitorous as the executive branch and scotus. There is no opposition party.

Our role? Suck it up and finance it as we are gradually squeezed out of existence.

Sadly

I see your point, and for the most part I agree but I think a few might have sneaked in that just might not go along with the status quo. Not many, maybe not enough to make a difference, but I have to try and have a positive view...it ain't over till the fat lady sings. I think she already grabbed the mic though...
