I happen to be reading Matthew now, and I'm reminded, "When you see all these things, look up, for your salvation is near."
That's why I don't let all this stuff get me down. I'm finding my pals on both left and right are pretty bummed these days. But I learned in the war to mind my hundred meters. (how far I could see on a battlefield) That's where I can actually do anything that matters. Ultimately though, it ain't about politics.
You would not believe the length of my prayer list! I had to split it into three parts so I had time to write! I do worry about folks...
Back to work...my editor is a wonderful young lady I think of as the "Punctuation Queen," and she nails me to the wall. I'm surprised she puts up with me, but I'm surely grateful that she does! So Pain Time - here I come!

Tomorrow is the first night of Chanukah and in recognition I plan on wearing a very ugly tee shirt w a large menorah prominently displayed upon on it to my Truckstop gig tonight.
Many will know what it is and it's significance but sadly I expect many will not and will wonder why I'm wearing a shirt w a candleabra on it.
Perhaps I'll tell them that today is Liberace's birthday and that I've always been a fan.
I hope you and yours enjoy a happy and safe holiday season.

My grandparents used to watch Liberace so the youthful Talbot would watch with them. Liberace used the most dramatic flairs, and his hands would often go skyward or even behind him. My grandfather told me in dead seriousness that once Liberace had reached so far back he couldn't find his hand!
I spent rather more time than I should have trying to figure out how that could happened!
