it's like this. at this point, anyone who's been here any time already well knows my politics. as i know your's and other's. trust me, i have people in my day to day that i can and do talk politics with.
and though i've spent plenty of time (too much time) tossing my opinions around here on any number of political subjects....that no longer holds much interest for me. it accomplishes nothing and only serves more to divide us regulars here.
as Jeff Haley and others have pointed out....it's accomplishes nothing positive... so, what's the point other than listening to our own voices? no one's mind or opinion has ever been changed on any BIG issue because of a convincing argument that someone has posited here.
i'm not saying i'll never weigh in on anything political again (you all should be so lucky), but for now i'd rather take a pass on what divides us (politics and religion), and instead talk about what unites everyone here .....music.
i'll continue to share my stuff, that of my band's, i'll share my musical stories, and try to be supportive of the others here in this small COMMUNITY who do the same.
Vampier, it's likely I was a little harsh and short with you (in a long winded way) asking you to "spare us...." and for that, i apologize.
obviously you should talk about whatever you choose, whenever, and in whatever way you choose to.
not in the interest of further battle (but quite the opposite), i just want to reiterate and further try to make clear one thing that i've said before.....I don't KNOW that you're here working as a russian troll sowing discontent and bad vibes.....i also don't know that you're not.... and that's for the very simple reason that AS I SEE IT....those moves are exactly what i WOULD expect from someone in that line of work.
as with anyone/everyone else here....i'll always be most interested in reading what you have to say about your's, mine, and other's music/art.
btw...when WAS the last time you shared any of your's w us here?
