Ted -

I completely agree with that, Pete. But he is still just a man and history tells me that power corrupts men. I'm very hopeful about the possibilities for now...but call me a skeptic of anyone who wants to be a politician.

I'll be making a public apology about how badly I misjudged Obama if he actually leaves in January. I can't do that until it's over and the record is fact.

Trump seems to be (mostly) saying the right things about how he would govern. A lot of what he says would be compromised by the process, and he'll have opposition every step of the way. Guess we'll see how much of his word he keeps when it's over.

Well put. That is one thing I've thought about a lot, corruption in politics is a huge problem right now. But Trump is definitely coming out against that corruption. And he also has a long history of standing up for the little guy. In the military academy when he was a teenager I read an interview with one of his classmates, who said he was the smallest of them and Trump would not let the bigger guys pick on him. He said the bigger guys learned quick that when Trump said leave him alone, he meant it.

He still has that kind of outlook, a we saw by the way he reacted when Ben Carson didn't hear his name called at the debate. Who stayed behind and stood with Carson? Trump. Everyone else just walked on by. Same idea. He didn't have to stop and help his opponent...But that's what you do. When I stole a base in high school baseball and bowled some guy over as I slid into the base, I would then help him up. Surprised a lot of guys, they never expected that...but it also started a lot of them doing the same.

This is the kind of person Trump is at his core. he'll have a lot of opposition, at least at first, but I think a lot of that will fade away as the people on Congress realize he really does want to do the right thing. the biggest problem will be the corruption already in place, that will take some fancy footwork to deal with, but I don't think he will give in to corruption, he would have done it long ago, and would have been bought off long ago, in which case we'd be looking at either President Jebbie or President Hillary...and in that matchup, it would be Hillary. Cruz is probably the only other one who could have beat her.

Let's if Trump pulls us out of NATO,
or drops the Patriot Act,
or allies with Russia to eliminate ISIS,
or cuts funding to Saudi and other gulf states mentioned by Hillary in her emails as the state sponsors of ISIS & Al qaida, Boko Haram, etc. ... as well as being big donators to the Clinton Foundation.

He's already started getting diplomatic relations started with Putin, or more accurately, Putin has expressed an interest in doing so, and I have little doubt Trump will put together a meeting soon as possible. Will they work out as allies? I'm not sure, but I don't think we'll be worrying about WWIII starting up with Russia. I'm pretty sure we'll at least be back on peaceful terms, probably even cooperating. Allies may be pushing it, but they might surprise me.

I'd like to see the rest of that list happen, but he has already gotten some progress in NATO, pushing for the other countries to start pulling their own financial weight. Ditto for the UN, we pay more than anyone else in both. And he's right, why should we be required to help them out of any jam when they don't contribute their own share of the money?

I'd love to see him wipe out the Patriot act, and homeland security while he's at it. That was a new law enforcement agency that was not needed, and one of the things I thought Bush made a huge mess of. He should have simply given existing agencies their teeth back. Problem solved. As it turned out, homeland Security is now a bloated agency given far too much power. Existing police agencies could do the same job without paying another huge police force. Between the FBI, CIA, US Marshalls and local and state police, we should have what we need to keep things safe and peaceful, it worked for 100 years...call in the national guard or army if necessary, but in most cases, they aren't called in. TSA is another one, if we cut them out and put private security agencies in charge of airports, I bet it would work a lot better and be a lot safer. As it is, 90% of fake explosives sneaked in by their own watchdogs made it on the planes. TSA is useless.

As for your other comment, no way he ever intended to lose to Hillary. He never does anything with the intent to lose, he's been in this to win and win big since day one. His greatest fear in life is to not be successful. He was in it to win from day one. You couldn't pay Trump enough to intentionally lose.

I think Trump will try his best to do what he says, that is his reputation. He will have a lot of opposition, but he's been fighting them all along and we know what happened...So I think he will be able to get a lot of what he wants. If he gets half, we'll be in good shape. But I have no doubt he intends to try and do what he says, that much I do not question. He's not a politician promising whatever he thinks will get votes. He's a private individual telling us what he actually wants to do. If you pay attention, you can quite often see the concern in his delivery. it's not fake, scripted political speech, and he's not just telling us what we want to hear. He's saying what the really thinks, without apologies...damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. That's what got him where he is. He never backs down, he never gives up, and we saw the results. He just won this election against all odds, with everyone in sight hitting him with everything they could think up. No help from the party, no help from the usual puppets Bush, Clinton and Obama relied on...

Now he has to deliver. It's off to a good start...I was wrong though...

He just finished a long, grueling campaign, at 3AM, I figured he would take a day off and get a little rest. Ten rallies in two days, I doubt if he got to bed last night before 4AM, I would take a day off, you would...nope, he hit the ground today working...I called that one wrong...and last night at his acceptance speech, 3AM, he looked like it was the middle of the morning...and he had a really long day. I'm impressed...I didn't last that long, I started to nod off about 1 so I gave it up, dozed a while and popped awake just as Pence introduced him so I got to hear the victory speech. He didn't look like it was 3AM and he'd been going all day...I can't believe what this guy can do. I finally heard him start to sound a little tired the night before during his 10th rally in 2 days...I couldn't do it...Some of the people around him say 25 year old guys have a hard time keeping up.

Yeah I've been on his side from day one, before that actually. I was listening to him phone in to the Fox morning show on Mondays for about 2 years before he announced. I knew in a couple of months, this is the guy we need in the white house. I had my fingers crossed when rumors started going around that he might run, I knew already he was the right guy for the job. He's exactly what I've wanted to see for 30 years. Not a politician, too rich to be bought, backbone enough to stand up to the politicians and the press, listens to the people not the special interest groups...

America called 9-1-1 and Donald Trump answered the phone.

Don't ask me how I know, I don't know myself. I knew LBJ was a liar in 30 seconds, and I was 8 years old. I knew Nixon was a crook while he was doing his best to convince the public otherwise. I knew Bill Clinton was a liar and a crook the first time I ever listened to him, in a matter of minutes. I knew Bush was lying about "weapons of mass destruction". I knew Hillary was absolutely EVIL the first time I ever looked at her picture, and I had no idea who she was. I just knew that woman was EVIL. I knew Obama was a fraud in 30 seconds. And I know Trump is exactly the president we need right now, and will probably turn out to be one of the best we've ever seen. I know he will do the best job he possibly can. And I know our dumbass politicians had better get behind him. Some already got run over...

Oh yeah that reminds me...if nothing else, Trump has already done us a great service, the Bush and Clinton clans are both FINISHED...I seriously hope to see Hillary behind bars before he's through too. This is the first time in 30 years we haven't seen a Bush or a Clinton in office or running. They are all out of our hair for a while. Let's hope he finishes them off for good.

Dear Washington DC,

America is coming, and they're bringing Donald J Trump.

Oh my bad...he's already there... :D

It's outright evil.

I've believed for a long time a very small group of incredibly rich individuals have been trying to control all the world's governments, but in particular ours, to achieve a world wide government. They don't endorse any particular ideology or political party, it's only about control. They seem to be choosing socialism to get what they want, since it can be used to bring down the economy, and once you have people dependent on government for their very existence, you have complete control.

This is what "climate change" is all about. They need a worldwide emergency they can claim can only be solved by a worldwide government. It also gives them a legitimate reason to tax you until you have no more income, you work for nothing, the government hands you just enough food to keep from starving. This is why the economy in Venezuela is devastated and people are starving. The economy in Egypt went belly up last year for the third time. The rest of Europe is crawling along on hands and knees. The European Union is their model for the rest of the world, and we see what a mess Europe is in right now. Crime is out of hand, rape is an everyday occurrence, and their "leaders" seem to turn a blind eye to the obvious problem, mass immigration by way of "refugees". Merkel is a prime example.

I think Trump sees this, and he's the one they didn't want to see emerge as the leader of this country. And that's why we need to give him a chance. We already see what he can do. He has gotten positive comments from several world leaders already, they know they can work with him, they know he wants a fair playing field. From what I see right now, it looks like Putin may have defected from the globalist crowd, he sees what a problem it is causing too. Netanyahu has seen it for a long time. Give Trump a chance, if he forms the right alliances, we might have a chance to keep the globalists at bay. It may sound strange, but it's beginning to look like Putin might just be a worthwhile ally...His wire to Trump sure looks like he might see something better ahead.

He's probably just what this country needs, but I doubt all the Liberals would agree.

That was a GREAT POST, Billy... Getting back to important things... Almost as great as your singing. SMILE!
That one is not just for you... That one is for ALL the great musicians that have come and gone on bandmix.

My question... How many small business owners have been hurt by Washington leadership? How many large business owners have protected themselves from abusive taxes and moved them out of America. Now here is the big one. How many young and talented musicians, actors, graphic artists, artistic painters, playwriters, designers, engineers... In short... All the TALENT of AMERICA! ... Have been squashed by a fascist big government authoritarian rule.

It is time for president TRUMP. For nothing else... To stop the BS!
