Glen ... I have noted a rather interesting "thing" about BM. That is most of the time and with the majority of "Posters" ... it seems to me that the objective of their Posts are in fact not to discuss, express their opinion nor even display their experience and knowledge in a particularly engaging fashion. The prime purposes are to disagree, discredit, condemn, mock, insult, undermine and deface the original Post.

Not everyone does this and yet many seem to excel and revel in doing so. There are NEVER any good results. Dayne is an example of how hurtful and mean spirited Posts can affect in a most negative fashion. Slacker will post something for open discourse and take the time to defend his position even against the mockers. His Posts are well chosen in their subject matter and also well defended I believe.

Perhaps all on here, certainly myself, are guilty from time to time of doing this, but we do not make a career of it and are quick in our forgiveness. Yod is a good example of this I believe and enjoys any disagreement and discussion as much as he can whilst getting his points across. He also will reach a point of acceptance and move on with no malice.

And everyone is dealing with everything that goes and comes with living in this "world" ... so this as we know can bubble up and become overwhelming to some and yet others like Haley rise to whatever occasion or negative circumstance with great resolve and determination. Case in point ... personal injury and Flood. In doing this we all have our "crosses" to bear no doubt.

Schmed is just as unique as any of us here and I admire his humour from time to time. As we know having a child for the first time is quite an experience and much different than creating a song. There will be some, intense and quick, whilst others shall draw long, hopeless and hard ... gruelling and terrifying. What we are, chooses what sort of battle or battles await us. We must face them with Resolve, Right Actions and All of our Being ... no matter what they might be.

There is a huge difference between the kind of crazy madness that causes people to murder millions of one kind of people for the benefit of a different kind of people, and the kind of crazy madness that causes someone to individually murder anyone and everyone they come across for no reason at all. Both kinds of madness are evil. Neither kind of madness can be tolerated in a civilized world. But they are two very, very different kinds of madness.

Claiming they are the same is an error. Yes, they share some similar traits. That doesn't mean that they are the same. And, if society attempts to prevent the mayhem that mad men cause by assuming that what works effectively on one will be equally as effective on the other, then society will fail at least half the time.

For the record, there is no evidence to suggest that Adolf Hitler ever killed anyone personally. Though he won the Iron Cross in the First World War, he was a dispatch runner. As for ineffective methods for preventing mad men from committing mayhem, removing the tools of self defense from the hands of the sane is not an effective way of stopping the insane from mayhem. If anything, it only makes the situation worse.
