A yom is a yom... A bandmix appointed censor will always be someone that has no respect for anyone that speaks up.

Mike, you went way to far! Your validity is only backed by your political beliefs... What you are really trying to tell Ted is to STFU.

You don't debate or discuss... Don't fuuck with my piggy.

Oh, please, why don't you go back to your little barnyard? I never said any such thing. What are MY political beliefs? Tell me! What do you think they are? No, you can STFU yourself, because I don't post them here.

I was quoting the quote that Yod put here. The guy did not say that a yorn is 6 months long at the north pole, he said a day - take your little piggy (WTF?) and go back to school and learn to read.

Try to pay attention to what you quote - the 'scientist' you quoted said
For that matter, a day at the north pole is about 6 months
.

Again....please pay attention. I never attributed that statement to a scientist.

Public education taught me a long time ago that daylight lasts 6 months at the poles. Do they not teach science in Yankeeland?

OK, I re-read it - it looked like you were quoting the scientist, instead it was your own ignorance! I apologize to the scientist, but invoking his name in order to make your own ramblings seem legitimate?

Thank you for apologizing to Hugh Ross, at least, but if you're going to claim I'm ignorant (implying you are not), then you will have to show some evidence of the veracity of your position, which we now know is ideologically based and not scientific.

What have I said that you can factually prove as false? Is it not true that daylight at the poles lasts more than 24 hours (or) a revolution of the earth? Doesn't really take a scientist to know that.

And you haven't addressed my simple question about how Moses could have gotten the sequence of Creation right all those millennia later, and the astronomical chances of that.

Math is a science too, ya know?

"In fact, within 23.5° latitude of the poles, there will be at least some days each year during which the sun never goes below the horizon. There will also be days when the sun never rises above the horizon. This number will be fewer, but close to the number of days in the summer where the sun doesn't set (for example the sunrise is usually a few days before the spring equinox and extends a few days past the fall equinox, even without accounting for twilight)."

Please note it says some days, not six months.

duly noted.

My point stands whether the exact measurement of time in a specific place is correct or not. There are "days" on this planet that are longer than 24 hours or the revolution of the earth.

A 'day' is one revolution of the planet (in relation to the sun), so NO, there are no other length days. If you mean periods of daylight longer than 24 hours/1 day, yes there are.

Seems like a petty argument, but God defined it differently at least 5 thousand years before science, or the English language was invented.

...and here's something else we can 'round and around on for days!

(see that....see what i did there????)

How daft are you???

"what I did" was insert a pun about "going 'round and around" in the middle of a disagreement over the length of day and the travel time around the sun.

You're gonna bawl about being "insulted"????

So which is it, you're clueless or just being dishonest? A little of both, maybe????
