I certainly agree the world WOULD be changed w/o the interenet, but I'm happy to report that MY world was unchanged by the loss of BM for a week.

Planet Guy ... Ta for the Posts. You can not be condemned as being evil when you have such a great sense of humour. From time to time the internet does go down here for at most one or two days. It is amusing to watch some ... constantly checking their "Eye Phones" and all in a flap whilst others simply go about as if nothing has happened. Even the queues at the banks disappear and the taco stands and coffee shops get busier. I think the best post is Talbot's ...unaware and rockin on. It is refreshing to see such good natured chiding between everyone. Appropriate for the HoliDaze. I will try and no doubt fail miserably to keep to this excellent "theme".

There has been a bit of chaos and madness here in the Desert by the Sea. For starters twice now there have been "displays" placed beside the main road in and out. This time of year always sees an increase in petty theft etc but this year they seem to have been going for the record ... until they seem to have ripped off the wrong people stupidly. The Cartels did not take kindly to this. They hunted down the thieves, chopped their hands off and shot them between the eyes and made a "Display" for all to see with their names and crimes being held up with their severed hands. This happened twice thusfar and seems to have put an end to it.

There is not much violence here and when there is it is swiftly swept beneath the carpet due to frightening the Touristas from the North. This coming year will be most interesting not only on both sides of the "Border", but within the entire world. Has anyone seen Julian Assange ?
