save your breath mike. i've already said the same thing more than once.

Joe signed on to play this event precisely to support the troops. when he learned it was nothing more than a bait and switch GOP rally he backed out. how hard is that to understand? ted.....at this point you're arguing for the sake of arguing.

c'mon, "support the troops"??? it's easy enough to make the argument that this rally is little more than a dog and pony show that actually EXPLOITS the troops w a lot of glad handing and backslapping while the GOP hucksters sell their snake oil.

(Ted, this is where you insert...."yes the GOP is bad the Dems are worse")

and the fact that the dems aren't staging these dog and pony "troop rallies" to sell their snake oil? points.

you claiming that you're still seeing the GOP as "American" vs the dems NOT being "American".....we can go back and forth all day on the definition of what "being American" is. no thanks. but knock yourself out if you must. :)

I see no reason to restate the obvious.

You can't show even one thing done to support the troops coming from Democrats since before the Vietnam war. Anything done by ANYONE to show support for the troops has been people who identify with the GOP, or the Tea Party.

Everyone knows that. Even Joe.

So he can choose to back out of supporting the troops if he wants. Not sure why he would do that since the military has become a liberal social experiment these days anyway, but whatever blows his dress up....

Yeah remember when Jane Fonda gave the note given to her by an American POW to his capture when she was leaving?
What a BITCH! The liberal dumacrats contribution to our troops.

well, clearly in the face of YOUR logic, ted.... you've made it perfectly clear (as mud) that Joe hates the troops. congrats you win. cos' seriously.... that can be the ONLY reason he's backed out! what other explanation could there POSSIBLY be?????

most likely he's using the fact it's a GOP rally as an excuse to stick it to the troops. how transparent!

Joe...why DO you hate the troops so???? DAMN YOU and all the other misguided liberal musicians who hate the troops!!!

(ted, it IS a FACT that all lib musicians hate the troops, right? yeah.....i thought so. just checking)

It's not confined to musicians....it's liberals period.

I'll retract that statement as soon as you can show us one instance of Democrats/Liberals supporting the troops. I've asked you to do that several times now and you keep acting like you don't see it.

We all know it's because you can't. There are a hundred examples proving otherwise for any instance you could show....IF you could find even one case.

scroll up. i gave you examples of how Obama has supported the troops.....and NOT just glad handing, dog and pony show "rallies" and parades that the GOP throws. c'mon...you buy into that BS show? that's for the suckers who buy into that exploitation as 'support'. it's not.

AND i also gave you a slew of examples of repubs shitting ALL OVER the troops.

yeah, we know. we know... the GOP is bad but the dems are worse. gottit. (yawn)

No you didn't

You showed me how Obama is cynically using the military as an excuse to expand abortion & the perversion of the sexually abhorrent worldwide. You cited examples of how he has corrupted the military with bribes to politicians and the VA.

You haven't shown even one example of how vets have gotten anything but abused & screwed by the Democrats. The GOP better oppose that at every step!?@

And to think that I thought you were intellectually honest for a while there?

This is getting HEATED...

My Maserati does 185... I lost my license, now I don't drive...

Ya gotta love those lyrics... Even the Beatles couldn't write those, and even Zappa, (another great one) would have said KUDOS.

I'm gonna give Joe the benefit of positive thought... Besides I don't particularly feel too fond of the republican party anymore than the dems.

Did I hear someone yell, Walsh for president? :)

You are so full of sh*t the sewers are overflowing!

Joe Walsh has played at more military bases than any musician I know of. He does it unannounced to the civilian public. At Kelly AFB an Airforce dude came and got me and asked if I knew James Gang songs. The next thing I knew I was sittin behind a drum set outside on top of a flat bed at the AF annual picnic playing with joe and his gang. Planetlie go back to your wine and get drunk. Your just another Jazz asshole dissing other musicians. F.o.a.d.

and you're what's called a "dumbass". but thanks for taking my side and helping me make my point about Mr. Walsh.

Yea, I have to take up for Mark here. It's me who has been ragging on Joe for canceling a "support the troops" event because it was being put on by republicans

If what you say is true about Joe playing military bases, then I retract any and all accusations against him and confess to be wrong about him disrespecting the military.

I still think he's a dumbass if he did it to support Democrats, (like Springsteen) but perhaps at least he isn't supporting Republicans either.

And clearly YOU'RE too stupid to realize how contradictory and ironic that statement is. Think about it. (but don't hurt yourself)

Advise for all of us:

Haters are gonna hate. Not much you can do to stop them, but you don't have to let them get the satisfaction of watching you get angry. If you really want to piss them off...ignore.

But my retraction of Joe's motives comes with the doubling-down on Obama and the Democrats cynical abuse of vets

As CNN reported in 2015, “more than 300,000 veterans died awaiting care.” As CNN reporter Drew Griffin pointed out, these aren’t even veterans who are waiting for care. “These are veterans applying for the privilege of waiting for care,” he emphasized. Yet, the VA continues to stall, target whistleblowers, and claim that nothing is wrong.

ted, i agree with you about haters. for the record i don't "hate" anyone here. and for the record i've never gotten "angry" by any views expressed here nor by any names i've been called. i always consider the source.

and you might consider that assuming i or anyone else is "angry" is kinda silly. i know that's the goal of some who argue here....and they've actually congratulated themselves believing they've "won" and grabbed the brass ring by angering their opponent. sorry, no. hey, whatever floats yer boat.

and while we're setting the record straight. i've offered to put the petty bitchery aside w RG. no dice...like a Tarrytown smoker, i guess he'd rather fight than switch.

and the offer is still on the table. 8)
