you know what jimmy, I was hoping to leave here on good terms, and I admit, this place can be entertaining, but every time I looked I saw you attacking Christianity and religion altogether all the time for years here.. most people have their belief system in place,m whether an atheist or a believer, and quietly go about their business, and not judging somebody as inferior if they do believe in a creator, you seem to go out of your way to attack people of faith, and you finally got my goad reading your hogwash one too many times.. I even agree with you 70% of the time..

a better life, is being content with knowing there is a God, a creator who if you are endeared to, and follow his commandments, rewards you with peace and joy and understanding, if not material wealth, although I have a gigantic retirement fund in the bank I can draw off of since I was 59-1/2.. but your view of what life should be like is only how you see it, since the Mexican cartel drug kingpins are wealthy enough to enjoy their "hobbies" does that make them a success? jimmie?

Back to liberalism... We live under the constitution. Let's throw it out. Bernie Sanders is right... FREE BEER FOR EVERYONE!
If you own anything, all Christian Judeo laws should just be condemned.

OK this thread is not going any where!

But please don't try to tell me science supports any of that nonsense. There is no evidence for a great flood, for Jesus being the only son of God, for Jonah being swallowed by a whale or for any other story in that book. It's a collection of parables handed down from word of mouth over the ages. And we all know what happens when people do that.

Gosh, it's like a time warp. You quoted me from then 80s.

How foolish I was.

Top of the page... I know they teach this in school. Moses was not a founding father. Did I get that wrong? Maybe it was hitler or was it captain obvious?

if Bloomberg gets in it, I might vote for him, but I will NEVER in a THOUSAND life times vote for Hillary.. I can discern people quite easily, a gift from god perhaps, but she is no good.. Trump works with people all the time, he knows social security is to be left alone, and never tampered with like Cruz wants to do, and I am within 2 years of drawing my social security INTO which I put a sizable portion of my paycheck into every week from 1972 (when I worked at Big Bear Hardware up till the present, even though I have been self-employed for going on 10 years I still have been doing the IRS Form SE thousands a year put in.. I want to get it back starting at age 62 not 75 like most of those bozos want.. Trump know what stupid people want, that is his gift in life.. god blessed him that way.. :) y

actually my first choice is Bernie.. he has some pretty high tax brackets going, but it won't effect me when I start drawing my social security check.. think his lowest tax bracket is 37% OUCH! and that's the lowest one! then it goes to 47% or something.. studied the candidates hours the the rday, Cruz wants a 10% flat tax, that only helps the rich and hurts the poor..

Jimmy, if you are sincerely interested in knowing how the science COMPLETELY lines up with the Creation account, then may I suggest your read one of the top astro-physists in America today, Dr Hugh Ross.

I have been labeled a heretic for daring to utter that the original translation (hebrew) is completely consistent with the scientific account, except our version came thousands of year before science had a clue. Faulty translations into european languages, with the addition of mainstream Christian theological interpretation, force the scriptures into saying something that they do not actually say. For example the hebrew for "day" is "yom" and it's primary definition is "age or epoch", but theologians try to force it's second definition instead. They say it means a 24 hour day, which is obviously impossible since that is measured by the Earth's rotation in relation to the Sun which wasn't created until the third "yom". For that matter, a day at the north pole is about 6 months!?!

So if you want to rail against what mainstream Christianity says, you'll find me to be a helpful advocate. If you want to say these things didn't happen, then you'll need to explain how history proves that they did.

For example, forgetting the details, for Moses to have just gotten the sequence of Creation right all those years later as a Prince of Egypt is an astronomical impossibility of one to the 10 millionth power. It would be like stacking up quarters eight feet high on the State of Texas and reaching in to grab the one red quarter of the bunch on your first attempt.

Oh, yeah, this guy is a real "believable" scientist! "For that matter, a day at the north pole is about 6 months!?!" Umm, no it's not. A 'day' is the time it takes the earth revolve around its axis one time- a little over 24 hours. The fact that due to the inclination of the axis, the area near the pole does not see the sun go below the horizon has nothing to do with the length of a 'day'.

Dayne- I already address your mistaken notice on the 'dinosaur and human footprints' in another thread. Bad science promoted by people who don't want to learn.

Please try to follow more closely. The subject is: "yom"

4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” (yom) and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. (yom)

A "yom" is measured by a separation of darkness from light. That period of time can be 50 bazillion years or a measurement of hours. The length of time is undefined by the word. At the North/South poles, it IS about 6 months. And btw, your dismissal of astro-physicist Hugh Ross is proof enough that you have an ideological position, not a scientific one.

So how do you explain Moses getting the Creation sequence right? 1 to the 10 millionth power is pretty long odds, don't you think?

Try to pay attention to what you quote - the 'scientist' you quoted said
For that matter, a day at the north pole is about 6 months
