Mark please list all your stock insults... If you have an extra 5 or 6 hours to waste. It will save everyone a lot of time.
Dayne, I don't know if you are poking fun at Yod or not... Please be careful. He is an incredible songwriter up there with Carol King, Elton John, Paul Mcartney and so many others. Yod is Ted. He is one of the great musicians that I have been blessed to know. More than dealing with Mark and Vinny...
I hope you don't make any negative remarks about his music!
Aww...that's so nice of you to take up for me, Smithtown.
It was a fitting little diddy he posted, and I'm flattered that he would name it after me. Can't see it working for New York, Boston, or Philly....but it's the first time someone named a song for me.
Thanks Dayne...bless ya real good.
hit the nail on the head there, Talbot. I've been a bit cranky myself for a few weeks. Since my brother died of a meth overdose, I have less patience than before. Hopefully that too will pass.
Jook, I don't understand what you have against some of the excellent artists & songwriters of American pop history...but there's always karaoke. Like you, I came here to get away from the political & religious discussion boards. After trying to avoid that here at first, I finally just jumped in with both feet because I couldn't find many musicians to relate to (See VR discussion). You may not get informed opinions here, but no one holds back what they really think, which I respect even if they're wrong. I
prefer talking to people who disagree with me. No shortage of that here!
But really....those topics have historically been the subject of the world's top artists & songwriters. It's the songwriter's job to craft the message for others, actually.
Here's my religious rockabilly contribution to the political songwriter's rhetoric:
