OK, Yes as mortal stupid human beings, we will always make mistakes.
Those mistakes are also a learning curve. Life is one big lesson. Sometimes it can be harsh. That is life. Sometimes it leads to really stupid mistakes, and sometimes it leads to EXTREME brilliance.

No matter how many mistakes we make on this journey of mankind, we must be very careful to avoid putting obstacles in our path, we must look forward, and we must push the farthest points of our creativity to survive.

Everyone smells calamity in the air. It is totally illogical for a govt to actively oppress the productive class - but Communism and Fascism are anything but logical. We're in an Ayn Rand / Joe Stalin world now.

Where will it go?

My feeling: govt pigs will make useful weapons illegal and give us a deadline to turn them in. We won't. Economy collapses and we are assaulted by hundreds of thousands of 'takers' who just lost their means of support. A big win for Govt. We shoot the attackers (who will certainly not be missed by anyone) but there cameras everywhere; subsequently they try to take us down just like they got those Koreans in LA.

But how might it turn out if the asses have miscalculated? (and they are certainly a pack of buffoons!)

A pack of buffoons who have over half a million armed personnel stashed away in the various paramilitary militias maintained by virtually ALL govt agencies now - including Fisherys and Hatcheries for gosh sake!

So the Gs focus on some 'target' areas, attempt to do their own confiscating - it goes terminal, the state govts push back, it all comes undone and it's 1936 in Spain.

There are several other tragic scenarios possible based upon observation of the signs of the times but none are good. These I mention are among the worst. The one I fear the most is the black swan...
