I just watched a little known off the radar movie called 'WATER FOR ELEPHANTS'
I'm not going to go into detail, but one scene was very touching.

ROSEY this circus elephant was staked to to the ground. She wanted a drink of water. She was abused by this circus owner. Rosey pulled her stake and chains out of the ground and walked over for a drink of water. The really touching part was she took her stake and chains and walked it back and put it back into the ground...

Obama, the Kenyan, should be helping the elephant.. afterall his country has an abundance of elephants, and he has let his people starve both economically and practically and his countrymen resort to killing elephants for ivory trade,, if he had actually established some sort of economic incentive such as jobs creation, intellectual development, education programs he might have thwarted the need to kill the intelligent and graceful elephant as the people's only means of survival trading ivory. I again blame Obama for letting his countrymen down and not stimulating any sort of improvement upon their lives leaving them to languish without hope

I don't care what obama does with the rest of his life. I just think these magnificent creatures far out of the way any human needs to hunt. AND!!!I am totally pro hunting. PS. I don't even though have all the needed license, and training.
That does provide a conundrum, eh... My first question is , and because I don't have the knowledge... Are these animals suffering a cruel death from starvation?
I don't have the answers and I am trying to be wise enough to say so.

Elephants are Majestic Beasts and in many ways far superior in their Social Structure and Family Devotion than any human "Tribe" ... especially now. It reminds me of where I came from and so very many Buffalo were slaughtered either just for their hides or just to remove the primary food and living source of the Indians. Massacred with their bones piled high. The "White Man" would shoot them and then pound stakes into the ground and tie small cord from the stakes to the hides and then pull the carcass with their horses ripping the hides off and just leaving everything else to rot. The indians used virtually every part of the animal as they had done for centuries.

The Elephants were massacred just for their ivory tusks in much the same way. The big difference is that Elephants are vastly superior in intellect to the buffalo. The entire thing sickens me and makes me want to hunt some "humans" ... the dumbed down and the Evil ones. I know I should not feel thus but in fact I do.
