oh yeah, I do not own a smart phone but there is a verizon close-out special for 29 bucks or something,, but thinking Cricket will be the thing since you can add a mobile-hotspot connection for an extra $10.00 a month and certain SMartPhones have a wifi hotspot connection in SETTINGS to tether with.. but the phone is an LG Stylo 2 at cricket at 149.99 and tethering runs batteries down fast unlike my Z288L which the batteries last forever (12 hours) before a good lengthy overnight recharge.. :) f

if you live in Sioux City Iowa the FAST HIGH SPEED internet options are probably plentiful.. and competitively priced due to the fact you live in a population center with business vying for business driving prices down, out here in remote countryside high speed options are very limited and PRICEY to boot.. :D
