1. This gem of a resort is located in Sturgeon Lake Minnesota. It is a short 45 minutes to Duluth, Mn. The hosts of this resort Richard and Patty Gose are very accommodating. The resort has everything a family could want at a lake resort. They provide life jackets, water toys for the kids, canoes, kyacks, paddle boards, paddle boats all included in your stay! You can rent a fishing boat or pontoon boat! The wagon of wood for a camp fire was plenty for a nominal fee it was plenty for 4 days. They have two cute playgrounds for kids, volleyball court, basketball hoop, game room all free of charge! Each cabin has a gas grill, air conditioning, private fire pits with ample outside chairs, picnic tables or patio furniture! I am so impressed with this property and the hosts that we have reserved our cabin for next year and have extended the stay for 7 days. Again thank you Richard and Patty Gose for a wonderful vacation! Five Stars!

2. My Relatives raved about how great this place is. The website and pictures just don't really capture the views, or, how friendly and fun this place is! We're already planning our next Summer stay.
The Management Staff were remarkably professional and attentive to our needs. Patty made our Very-Large Family Reunion fun and stress-free, suggesting things before I even thought about them. She took our group photos, brought a bug-repelling machine to the Elder's deck without requesting it (I'm pretty sure it was her own personal one), and her reservation recommendations were perfect for our group. The resort layout is great. We never felt cramped, our decks seemed private and you never had to walk far for anything. Bugs weren't really a problem in the open areas or near campfires, only near the bushes at night. There's even a basket of free bugspray, left behind by previous guests, on the deck next to the office if you forgot to bring some.
The Resort is phenomenally well provisioned (all you need to bring is clothes, food and fishing gear.) Seriously, if you can think of something you might like, they've already thought of it and can accommodate you. Included amenities: rollaways, firepits, decks, BBQ grills, picnic and patio tables, lawn chairs, outdoor and indoor games (too many to list), bicycles/tricycles, gym-sets, water-slide/toys/floats, paddle-boards/boats, kayaks, life-jackets, a fish-cleaning station and a lounging terraced hillside overlooking the beach/lake with couches/chairs and four bug-repelling machines (bug-free zone). The Resort Office sells some necessities, frozen treats, bags of ice and firewood. I've never seen a resort make such an effort to make your stay so care-free. Want to bring your dogs, watercraft (free dockage), RVs (full-hookups) or ATVs? No problem!!! There's a Public Boat Launch just across the bay; and, a State ATV/Snowmobile Trail just across the road.
Moose Lake is three miles away for any forgotten supplies (groceries, fishing licenses/bait, clothes, etc.) The City Park has a Huge Playground-Set for young children. Joe Jitter's Coffee House is an amazing Coffee Barista, that rivals Starbuck's. The Kwik Trip, a 24-hour convenience gas station/grocery store with Recreational Gas, is four miles away next to the Interstate.
As a footnote, just before we arrived, enormous storms caused flooding in the surrounding communities. Luckily, the Resort sits on high-ground, as well as the roads leading to it from Interstate. Sand Lake rose six feet, causing ten feet of the Resort's Beach to disappear. We lucked out. I never even thought about being flooded out.
All in all, one week wasn't long enough to do everything the resort had to offer. Wonderful Memories... Lovely Place... Spectacular Personalized Service!!!

3. My husband and I had a lovely relaxing weekend belatedly celebrating our 26th anniversary. We stayed at lakeside mobile home, it was brand new, beautiful accommodations. Clean, has all the amenities of a small home...right on the water with the most amazing view from the deck. Fire pit, gas grill, all of it was awesome. The beach was clean, plenty of water toys for families, including kayaks, canoes, paddle boats (free for guests) and pontoons and other boats to rent. Loved it!!
