Been some new developments today, looks like my suspicion (and some others) was right, the FBI announced this afternoon it is being investigated as a terrorist act.
Just saw an article with a picture of the wife, first one posted that I know of.
http://www.westernjournalism.com/glenn- ... if-killer/I'm not a huge fan of Beck, he's ok sometimes right sometimes wrong, probably close on this one.
Total of 15 pipe bombs found, 3 at the shooting scene, a dozen at home. Close to 5000 round of ammo total, apparently more than one remote control. Investigators not sure if the one used at the scene failed or they were not close enough to get a signal to it.
Still questions floating around about third shooter originally reported on the news, most are fairly sure it was a mistake made in the heat of the moment. Only the two of them. First reports also said they were wearing GoPro cameras, then that was walked back, but now according to the list of items confiscated from their car, GoPro camera wrappers.
Not sure yet but they suspect the wife is the one who radicalized the husband, she passed all background checks when immigrating here to marry the guy. He bought the handguns 3 years ago or more, someone else bought the rifles, that name not released. All guns purchased legally over 3 years ago.
I thought Obama had originally said workplace violence but wasn't sure, I was only listening and not listening close enough, I saw the clip on TV where he said could be either. That was just before the FBI announced they were treating it as a terrorist attack.
Very little known about the wife so far, but apparently she did post something on facebook then deleted it pledging her allegiance to ISIS.
Investigators said they have found some info on cell phones so far, and will be trying to get what they can from hard drives, which the couple tried to destroy before the shooting. They tried to destroy cell phones, hard drives and motherboards. Some data can still probably be retrieved. Internet tracks can't be erased, they'll find those.
From house and car they took all kinds of receipts, weapons and explosives of course, a few tools out of the car, other things, I can't remember the whole list.
From what they've found so far, I'm thinking this was definitely not the primary target, otherwise they would have brought along all the bombs and probably would not have been masked. They expected to leave and do it again somewhere else. This was probably a mostly unplanned thing, someone pissed him off and they decided to go off the rails. They had a bigger target in mind for later, this one went south. No other reason to leave all the explosives and ammo behind, they had enough to supply a dozen people for a serious attack on a much bigger location.
I'm also thinking other people were involved, they didn't have or make enough money to afford all the bomb making equipment and ammo. That's the speculation coming from the so called experts...but I think it's correct. What was found was somewhere in the range of $30,000 in weapons, ammo and explosives. The husband made $50,000 a year. Can't buy that much on that salary unless he's been at it a long time, and it looks like he wasn't.
Seems like I'm missing something but can't remember...
I'm a member of the BOMB SQUAD.
If you see me running, better catch up!
