The really not so funny thing about neo-cons is that they are essentially Trotskyites - who as some may recall, had a falling out with Mr. Stalin. (who felt you can [ice]pick your friends)
Many of the originals were Jews or left over Jewish Bolsheviks who made their way to NY thence to DC. To be against the neo-cons of course prompted charges of anti-semitism by any who dared to criticize these freaks.
They come in both wings of the Uniparty. You can usually spot them by the yellow stomachs and big mouths - usually opened wide to demand war and more war. Endless, bloody war until they are finally satisfied and we are all gone - and they can live in 'green' splendor.
Speaking of Greens BillRas / Vinnie whomever - one of my favorite was the fun loving German named Otto Remer. During the big war he commanded the Fuhrer Escort Brigade and helped put down the Putsch against Hitler. He becomes really interesting when one traces his (and his wife's) involvement in the growth of the Greens Partei in Europe.
Really gets hard to keep track of the players.
