We plowed the KKK subject into the ground a few months ago. If you guys want to rehash old sh*t, let's talk about beer.

The Fall is here and it's time to get out those Porters!!!

I'll start w/ a Guinness Stout. :D

I don't know why, but I haven't had a Guinness in a while....I am a fan.

at last night's P-Jazz gig I drank a cpl of these...from a local Columbia MO brewery. Good stuff it is!

....and then there's Burr Oak, another local brewery in Columbia. We play some special events there from time to time. They make a cpl of excellent IPA's ...Divine, and Imperial. Most delicioso.

not my first choice either...unless i'm on the mower and then canned beer makes perfect sense!

i find w beers i "know" that i'm used to drinking from the tap or bottle (like Guiness for instance)...they really lose something in translation when relegated to a can.

Other beers that i've never exp in a bottle like the ones above....it's not a problem as i don't have anything to compare it to. 8)

Boddington's Bitter ... Manchester, England ... Strangeways Brewery right next to the Strangeways Prison. It is made with honey ... maybe even the Muslim Invaders can quaff it without "sinning" against "Allah". Nevertheless it is my favorite. They a few years ago began exporting it with a new process ... cans with little plaky things in them which fracture when the can is opened. It is classified as a "Live Beer" like Guiness, Scotch Ale and a few others ... all of which use the same process. Coes down smooth and makes great "Shandy's".

My apologies but Reality is Reality and I do enjoy beer and JookeyMan's intellectual takes on things. One thing is certain ... all of us could sit around a fire and quaff all sorts of beer and talk, argue, discuss and possibly even make music all night till dawn. Who knows some of us may do this one night. Beer is not brewed in cans and they are only a means of transport for good and bad beers. If you have not had "Boddies" try one. The Brewery used to sponser my Band in Manchester.

That's OK, Schmeddy. You're still my friend.
I like a good beer every now and then but nothing gets me higher than playing music. 8)

Hallelujah! :D
