I could say something but you get pretty unstable when you get your feelings hurt.
so I think I better not.

...JCP61 ....a reasonable request. Did I ever some how elude that it was a problem ? I think not so I just put the remark as the kind of thing you would say. You are a strange man but I know I repeat myself. A thank you would have been nice but it is not expected. There is something about your manner and your Posts that I have always found to be haunting. That is in the sense that they come off much of the time as being rather rude. But before I took it personally but have come to see that you affect others in the same way. Your words are rather abrasive but you do have some rather excellent remarks and thoughts from time to time. Oddly enough you remind me somewhat of my Father in this respect. He was very much a perfectionist, did not express his Love in physical ways, expected much from us and was critical of anything we did in the sense that as a child I might draw a horse and show my mother who would praise me and then when I showed my Father he would tell me it was not acceptable and then proceed to tell me why. At first I would take it all personally but then I would realize that yes the legs were far too short or the eyes too large etc. After I was in the world for a bit I came to realize that I was very fortunate that he was the way he was with me.

Sorry I went a bit off did I not ? But what I am trying to say is that often and most definately on this Forum things are not what they may seem to be at first glance. They are usually much better.

or

Is it that the local store ran out of Grecian formula?

or

You wife gave you a black eye when you told her that you didn't want the table leg up your ass tonight.

or

You are on the federal witness protection plan.

or

More than likely you are just the typical doughnut eater with delusions of grandeur..

And go ahead, be mean to ETU you know he thinks you're a douche.
I don't think we should say anything to you or you might go home and cry.

I wouldn't want you to go where Glambert did. LOL Wait a minute..Yeah that'd be fine.

Hey Glambert say hello.. (kicks basement floor)

it's fitting that you framed these impressions in paternal terms.
reactions are often evidence that most men have not worked through the baggage inherited at childhood.
you, I have to say, have obviously done some work in this area.
as evidenced by the fact that your point of view is not continually; "daddy love me!"
that has been surprisingly refreshing as time goes by.
yes,
some gentlemen here regard me as rude, not that it isn't the case sometimes. I prefer to look at it as direct, unadorned.
I suppose I should preface/prefix my responses in a manner more like:

Dane my dearest and most companionable friend
I suppose if you want to put tubes in your amp that are over 30 yrs old that's your affair.
they might sound good, for about 20 min
then they will be trash
but I'm willing to bet good money they won't sound good at all.
cause they are spent
your without reservation
JCP61

dude, NOS tubes do not deteriorate.. they only deteriorate by being used in a circuit.. and mine have been kep in a climate controlled facility..LOLL!!

My esteemed colleague,
I must respectfully disagree
I believe what you have there is excess stock from a dying fad.
most consumers have got subsequent education about new old stock
and a tube tester were not designed to inform about sound quality.
I am sorry you are in such a position as to have to sell the wrong tubes to shrinking population of unlearned public
with kindness and the most effluent admiration
jcp61

I supposes you will have to go back to that topic to note any changes I have made.
I am sorry I have not performed this tasks for you.
be that as it may

now you will often note that the boys who gripe the loudest often are initially the most offensive, but as often the case most people are far more sensitive to others behavior, than their own.

....JCP61 ... I thank you for your reply. Be as you are, it will be less confusing for us all I think....

Hayden ... thank you for your deep appraisal. No doubt reflective of the degree of sensitivity and intellect that you possess and like to bandy about.

Once upon a time there was little man who trundled about in his very own and familiar world ...it was a very small world. One day a large wagon passed through and upon it sat an old man. Pausing to check the harness on the horse the old man noted the "little man" peeking at him from behind a rock...a small rock in a small world it must be noted.
Now painted in large swirling letters of colours that the "little man" had never seen before , was some writing which although the "little man" could see he could not read or decipher it's meaning.

Once finished with the harness the old man with a small twinkle in his eye for the "little man" went round to the back of the wagon and creaked ppen the door. He then reached in amongst the multitude of books and took out a small picture book for the "little man" The old man leafed through the picture book smiling and hen laid it upon a small patch of short grass aside the way. Climbing back onto the wagon the old man urged the horse forward and lumbered away and out of sight continuing his journey.

After the old man had passed from sight, the "little man" emerged and picked up the small picture book and opened it. It was filled with wondrous pictures of wondrous things which the "little man" had never seen before. He scoffed and then tossed the small picture book into the bramble and went on his merry way ... the "little man" in his little world.

The lavish and swirling words artfully decorating the sides of the wagon said simply "Wagon of Knowledge".

You know what, JCP, you joke but that was better.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

If you use a shred of decency, I have no issue with you even though most times I think you're wrong and I won't bother to persecute you further if you don't mess with people like you did with ETU and with Vamp.

It has to be a big slice of humble pie to call him out on those star wars pics only to get it right in your face like a thrown piece of dung that hits bullseye.

Now if we can figure out why YOD is so staunch on being obstreperous.

Plenty of people are right and wrong, the point is that it's a boring place if everyone agrees about everything. I have no issue with your right to say when you truly believe. I take issue when you are so sure you are right it's impossible to debate it like intelligent people.

Whether we are intelligent or not, that's an animal of a different color and a battle for another day.

PS: Pissed that Israel hit the Hamas Govt building. Now the Arabs will really think they have a reason to start shooting. Violence is no solution to anything and even if you get a little resolution, someone else will always take up the reigns in the name of revenge.

Reminds me of that western serial, The Rifleman is it? Some guy was always riding into town saying he was the kin of someone else that the main character shot down. I.e. Someone to take up the reigns in the name of revenge.
