Harold Camping was a discredited fool in the overwhelming christian community. Anyone stupid enough to follow him probably believes Jimmy Carter today.
People in the west bank and gaza are suffering because of the wicked and brutal leaders they have chosen to follow. Gaza suffers under Hamas, the west bank suffers under Fatah. Those arabs who recognize this move to Israel....and Isreali arabs don't suffer any worse than Israeli jews.
Jews have lived in Palestine for at least 4000 years. To say they are "foreign invaders" is ridiculous at best and Orwellian double speak at worst.
The "Palestinian" identity is a recent fabrication. As recently as 1965, it did not exist. This can be demonstrated with evidence from the time period.
"We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds."
--Resolution from the First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations, Jerusalem, February 1919
In 1937, a local Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, told the Peel Commission, which ultimately suggested the partition of Palestine: "There is no such country [as Palestine]! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria."
The representative of the Arab Higher Committee to the United Nations submitted a statement to the General Assembly in May 1947 that said, "Palestine was part of the Province of Syria" and that, "politically, the Arabs of Palestine were not independent in the sense of forming a separate political entity." A few years later, Ahmed Shuqeiri, later the chairman of the PLO, told the United Nations Security Council, "It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria."
Three-fourths of historic Palestine is sovereign Arab territory, and has been barred to Jews for 80 years.
