WOW, you are making more stupid comments again. If you don't use guitars to practice you will never be good with them... If you don't use guns to practice with, you will never be good with them. I can't believe you wrote such a dumb comment.

Now here is some of uncle Talbot's anti-aggression advice. I admit I might have had a few drinks when I wrote this a couple years ago, which in no way obviates the truth of it:

I find that as I progress, or age as some would have it – I seem to play more in F#. If I’m angry and depressed – F# expresses that better even than Emin in some cases. We live mostly in A and E, maybe G or B if we have pretensions to musical knowledge. But sometimes gentlemen, you draw your musical sword, and shout to the uncaring winds that scour the mountains, “f**k it! I’m playing in F#!”

At a rehearsal Sunday a vocalist asked if we could drop the key a half step. The guitarists reached for the capos. They looked at me and I told them if Ab was still where it used to be I reckoned I'd be ok. "Besides, bass players and piano players don't use no stinkin' capos!"

Now apparently I was at least partly wrong! I bet that looks silly on a piano!
