I think I might just do that Mark! Should I call it "the early years"? Anyhow most of my early stuff is on tape like Jimmy. I am not the Techy guy that Jimmy is but let me see what I can do.

yeah..go for it, jeff...and that's a great title! back inthe day we all would bring our cassette recorders to gigs, piggyback two, three, sometimes four or five together and put up a cpl of 57's. we got a lot of really good recordings considering the technology we were using. then there's my old originals which were first recorded bouncing between to two cassette decks (yeah, i'm a geezer!) and then around '79 i went to hog heaven when i got a TEAC 3440 4 trk 1/4" reel to reel. still have all those old recordings.

I am planning on spending the weekend shielding the cavity in my newer Strat the one on my avatar. I am having problems at one venue we play they have so many neon lights and won't let us turn them off and it creates a terrible buzz. I bought this copper shielding tape called Buzz Kill. I figured while I have the guitar taken apart (you have to do the cavity and back side of the gut plate)

yeah, shielding is an easy job and well worth it!

....why not put a Seymor Dunkin JB pickup in. I really like that pickup. I have a Junior in my old Strat (humbuker to fit in a single coil space) side by side.. The long story is I will have some extra time to figure out which recording I will start the thread with!

sounds like a good plan. i've never owned a strat w a HB in it...i guess i'm old school that way! (i have had HB's in the neck position of teles......so maybe i'm not so "old school" after all!

it'd be great if one of the techie guys here like Jimmy, Jook, or GTR Mike can set us up a "drop box" type of deal to post these Jurasic Gems!
