Not every Democrat supports President Barack Hussein Obama’s lousy nuclear deal with the rogue nation of Iran.
Take for instance Brad Sherman, a California Democrat who had the courage to admit to reporters that the deal does nothing more than open the door for “terrorism with impunity.”
“Everything Iran is doing has a legitimate cover,” Sherman said. “In international affairs, everybody lies some of the time, and Iran lies much more often.”
The problem is that Obama’s deal lets Iran continue lying to us and the rest of the world. Even worse, it rewards Iran for its lies by handing it lots of money, not to mention a clear-cut path to a nuclear bomb.
Like Sherman noted, “(I)n the long run, the deal could wind up having a devastating effect on both the United States and Israel.”
In fact, National Security Adviser Susan Rice even admitted that the money Iran earns from the deal will most likely be used for “bad behavior.” This means we are effectively funding Iran’s rampant terrorism.
Sherman pointed out that the money Iran will receive could also be used to just buy a nuclear weapon from another rogue nation, like say North Korea.
“There’s nothing in the deal that says we will monitor the $56 billion (in sanctions relief) to make sure that $10 billion doesn’t go towards buying nukes from North Korea,” Sherman explained. “The hope is that there’s enough pressure on North Korea to prevent them from selling to Iran.”
However, when in the world has North Korea ever conceded to one our demands?
The outspoken Democrat also excoriated Obama for snubbing Congress and going to the United Nations Security Council first, a move that Sherman said “is part of the proof that all powers of President Obama are with the deal (and) not with his congressional critics.” (H/T Breitbart)
The point is that Obama approves of the deal, meaning that it will go through regardless of how Congress feels and votes, because in Barack Obama’s world, the only person who matters is him.
