Hey there folks, I nearly made a living playing music under the table for about a decade. Im looking to get back into the business, but I want to do it right this time (actually make a living and have a little security for the future). I want to start my own business, do it independently and do it legal (pay my taxes and pay into some kind of pension plan or something, yknow). The problem is I aint got half a clue of how to go about doing it. I found this youtube video of Dick Dale talking about how a musician should go about doing business and it sure makes a lot of sense to me.

My question pretty simply is are there any other Canadians out there who are doing this and if you have, how do you do it and where should I begin? Any ideas folks? Thanks a lot for your time and help, Darcy
