Although I don't have the funds now, I am looking for a bass guitar.
I have done a bit of research on the net and am thinking about maybe an ESP bass.
I already own an electric six string, Ibanez RG and love it. I really like all the options Ibanez has to offer, all except one major thing. Body shape.

Here is my thing, I am a small person (5') and a girl with NO man hands.
Looking for a bass body with no horns (I play with proper posture, so that means boob poke-age).

The closest decent music shop is Bellones in London ON.
The next, probably Long and McQuade in Stratford ON.
Both of these shops have very little selection when it come to brands/manufactures.

Does anyone know of a decent place to go to try/test out equipment made by multiple brands?
The GTA is a bit far to go (two hours one way now because of over population) , but when I have the cash, it will be worth it.

If you know your guitars, check out the stuff on internet auction sites (eBay, for example).
Other than that, I think you're best bet is downtown Toronto/Mississauga. Socially, the worst place ever, but it's got the good stuff. Don't get scammed; best of luck.

Small of stature check out some of the jazz basses. Be very aware of the width of the neck and the hight of the action. Will make a BIG diff.

I'm considering just a simple Ibanez Mikro bass GSRM20. Not much, but as far as short scale goes... this one isn't complete crap.

And I can pick one up at Bellone's in London (really close).

A good Bassest can make an oatmeal box and a shoestring sound good.
Go for it.
