I think everyone at some point get a stray hair up their ass, but you can't hog wild on the people you actually perform with.
That's simply not done and Neil Young was never all that and a ham sandwich.
At worst, all you ever wanna say is " we need to do better and maybe we need some extra rehearsals". That in of itself is enough to make people groan.
Otherwise if you are going to verbally grind someone, it's best to do it in private and be professional even if you feel like it's personal.
