The following is an FYI posted by SmellKellHell
'Liquid Metal Music' is not my recording studio
--------------------------------------------------------

Greetings, My name is Eric Ferns, MIA graduate from Fanshawe college.
Liquid Metal Music started as a way for me to record my band at the time; Möltar.
We tried for many years to get a professional quality recording done but with very limited success, mainly due to our lack of experience.
After rebuilding the inside of an old barn foundation, going to school, building 2 iso-booths, and purchasing a bunch of mics, some decent mic preamps, and speakers, we were finally ready to record the band. By this time, injuries had mounted and the band Möltar was forced to take a break indefinitely until something could be done about the current issues.

I joined a band called Kynesys late in 2008, and since then we have been working hard on new music and recording a demo.
The demo is now complete and will be mastered by Peter J Moore in September. http://peterjmoore.com/
I also provide session drumming as a service. Samples of my drumming will be posted above soon.

Liquid Metal Music is a small studio in Ingersoll Ontario.
(London / Woodstock area)

We have a 16 track setup with very high quality a/d conversion provided via Apogee AD-16x, and 3 rooms.
One room must be used for the control so 2 can be used as iso-booths at any given time.

We try to maintain an overall goal, of the best sounding recording possible given all variables involved.
This means that my own music is often quieter overall than many "Professional" recordings, simply because I refuse to over-compress music for the sole purpose of making it loud.
If the artist requests a LOUD master it is easily possible and I will happily oblige. However for my own personal preference, I try not to compress any more than is necessary.

Every band deserves to have the best possible recording experience and top quality production, without owing a record label their library of music.
We try to provide a seemless and enjoyable session to anyone who gives us the opportunity to work with them.

Pity a studio uses MySpace to advertise?

Song is pretty cool however and should go down well here of late, especially the title. :D

You should hook up with Ryan.
Best of luck with the track again not so sure about MySpace for a studio?

Chippy.

Are you advertising a new studio, or showing your disrespect for a studio that you used to be affiliated with?

I'm just trying to help my buddy out.

We all need to start somewhere.

By the way,

Liquid Metal Music studio does NOT just record metal bands.

He has experience recording and mixing many styles including pop, classic rock, jazz, r&b, punk, dance, ambient/lounge, acoustic stuff, even classical/symphony.

The metal stuff is mostly his own band, he's the drummer.
If you need some drums, he'd love to do them too.

Also he plans to get more equipment for live events and audio/sound for film. And within the next year we will hopefully have a new larger location too.

'Sacrificial Slaughter' by Kynesys
This is NOT the final mix. It has to be mastered.
