So wots going down over the pond Dudes?
Said in a very quaint and marvellous rendition of an American voice

Chippy,
It appears that the cousins aren't talkin' to ya , perhaps , because they regard you as a yank lovin' turncoat.

However...

since I'm an avid listener of the B.B.C., I can tell ya that Manchester United is goin' down the tubes and all the self serving ministers in the British government are getting kicked out. ('cept for Uncle Gordy, of course)

I'll try to keep ya up to date on any new developments.
cheers,
Howlin'

You know what? Ronaldo is a great player, but he's a massive pile of douche and he brings down the team when he's throwing his fits. So, let em have it.

Hi to our American cousins,
Things in the UK have been a bit frought with the world recession, though some people say the UK will lead the world back out again... I hope they are right but we will see!
Uncle Gordy is quite a decent guy really though no great inspiring leader, but he does have an understanding of financial matters as good as any in the world... but can any one person sort out the world problem of each of us wanting a bigger and bigger slice of the cake? When the cake can only grow so far however you bake it.

You are right Howlin, we should never have let those Yankees whip our arses back across the pond, but luckily we remain good friends.

ManU also had their arses well whipped by Spain a week ago... just all having an off-day I think and will soon lead the world again... not my team though as I am south of London and more of a Chelsea guy.

The Bank of England has set nearly zero interest rates, which is great if you buy a house, but I own mine and being sort of retired at 52 I live partly on interest, so I am praying for interest rate inflation this year!

We are also heading for record temperatures for this time of year in the coming week: 32c expected widely, and by August Christ knows if the roads might get too soft to drive on... with global warming we get flooded or stuck in mud every winter, and stuck in soft tarmacadam in the summer!
Some of our older motorways were built with a concrete surface, but with complaints about surface noise from houses they pass, are being changed to softer surfaces! That melt!
That's England for you, but I love it all the same!
