Influenced by REM, Drive by Truckers, Wilco, Gram Parsons, Richmond Fontaine, Teenage Fanclub, The Delines and The Bryds.
We’re all 40+ and although we see the band as a hobby, we have a professional outlook when it comes to writing, rehearsing, recording and gigging. We have recorded 2 tracks which have been playlisted by radio stations and have received airplay and followers from US, Canada and here. On the back of this we have been asked to be represented by British Country Airplay - which means our songs will be syndicated worldwide via radio.
We dont need the most technical or loud drummer, just one who can groove and get tight with the bass a la Neil Young/The Band. If you had backing vocals for harmonies then that would be great but not essential.
We currently rehearse in Blackburn, in a very nice room with a kit already there set up.
We’d like to see where this band takes us, whilst having a good time doing it. We dont take ourselves seriously and enjoy each others company. We are driven though by quality of the songs. We want to do more recording and look for good gigs, like supports or playing Americana nights across the north west. We try and do one of the above per month at least.
We have 2 videos on facebook of the 2 songs that have been playlisted in US/Cananda/UK that have had over 5k views each - and are still getting radio play in Novemeber 5 months after The Line came out
