I loved BC, especially "Steeltown", "The Crossing" and "The Seer". Such a tragedy.

The Crossing was good. Steeltown I found a little heavy going a bit monotonous (ah the difficult 2nd album syndrome) but they were good live. The Skids were a good listen too, and Bryzwicki (I think that's how it's spelt)

did a good job on The Cult's "Love" album

Yeah he's one of my favorite drummers. Mark also played on the Pete Townsend solo stuff. Not sure why most BC fans dis Steeltown, usually for production values. I had my daughter pick up the Skids CD's for me when she went to England. Sounded a little like the Clash.

I always loved their sound. Epic, lush yet melodic.

Big Country's "In A Big Country" is a truly phenomenal piece of power pop! I still can't stand still when I hear it!
Coast,
Great stuff! Shades of Tears for fears, the Moody Blues And even a bit of Tex Mex, to my ear, in a delightfully original mix. Great sound! Definitely worth the listen.( If I were a few years younger, and a few miles closer, I'd jump at the audition!

Who can deny "In a Big Country"?
That's like saying "The Cars" were no damn good. (I don't like em but they could play, that's for damn sure and I even catch myself tapping my foot ecchhhh...)

I met the band in 1993 at a meet and greet, Stuart signed my "Wonderland" EP "Stay Alive!", his tag line. I told him to never give up, but like many brilliant minds he was troubled. RIP

Coast,
Thanks for the compliment, Paul.
Most of the stuff on my profile is very old. ("Come on to Me" is from vinyl and was recorded in 1982!)
I have recently put together a part time four piece cover band primarily for fun. We are currently working in our guitar player.
I've been playing since 1965 off and on, and I'm still addicted to it!
I browsed your website a bit closer and am quite impressed! Looks like you guys are rockin' Ol' Southampton. My wife caught an earful of your music and commented that it put her to mind of Duran Duran. As I mentioned before, I hear a lot of different influences in your sound, but it still retains its own character, and sounds "fresh" to me.
Great band!
