Jam Band Needs Keys and Horns - South East
Posted: Fri May 26, 2017 6:52 amI am trying to gather a group of musicians to get together and play some funk in a jam setting. The motivation is really just to enjoy the music but if it goes somewhere then we could potentially do some small gigs - open mics etc and who knows beyond that....
Does anyone think this is something they would be interested in? I have interest from a bassist, guitarist and sax player but would love some keys too - dirty hammond, rhodes etc. More Horns would really fill out the sound too.
I think this would suit people with a few years experience and a reasonable knowledge of jazz / funk. I've been drumming for quite a few years and ideally you would be comfortable jamming, soloing etc.
The first rehearsal would be in Maidenhead, Berkshire and we are looking at the weekend of June 3/4.
