Searching for a venue to play in London - Advice

We are a funk-rock band based in London searching for a venue for our first gig. We only play our own material and right now we would be able to play about one hour. Here a sample of what we do https://soundcloud.com/banana-skin.
I am sure there will be many places in London where we could play but searching can be a pain and local knowledge is always very welcome. Does anybody recommend any specific venue? Any advice would be much appreciated...
We would also be open to playing as a support band so if you have a band and are planning a gig in the following months and a support band would be good for you let me know too.
