hey folks I was only joking

I'm starting up a new band, and I think I have all the other musicians I need. I've even started writing guitar & bass lines (not bad for a drummer!)

The question is, can we come up with something worth sharing with the great Yorkshire public? And is the great Yorkshire public worthy?

when all the great bands and musicians first came out, music such as was never heard to human ears, now every type of sound is coming into play, so its harder to come up with something new, but hell, everything seems to sell no matter how odd it sounds.

Hi Andytill - tried contacting you via Bandmix. Would you be interested in a serious project (band called Somnium based in Wigan - se reverbnation site and search for the band) - we need bass to play & help write/shape the songs. Rehearse in Warrington Tough Gong studios at the mo as it's the only place we can find between here (Macclesfield where I live) and Wigan where singer/guitar are).

Dave - this thread is over 4 years old - if the guy you are addressing is still checking here, it would be amazing!

here's a story from decades ago. Our band had a more than promising bass player who sold all his gear because of pressure from his girl . I said you should not have gone that far, you'll always be a musician, you'll only be back looking for equipment and a band before the year is out - exactly the way it turned out. 3 years later it happened to me as well, pressure from my woman (what the hell is it with them anyway, anybody know ?) Got rid of everything but my Strat kept under the bed. But the amp was a Bluesbreaker - have to wait till heaven to get that back.

You know what they say:

What's the difference between a girlfriend and a guitar?

A guitar will never get jealous of other guitars you play with!
