The Roadhouse Roosters are on the lookout for a new double bass player as our current bass player will retire early 2015.
We play a mix of 50s retro covers ie some rockabilly, some swing, some R&R and old-school R&B at a semi-pro level and we are currently finishing recording a CD with originals at Western Star in Bristol. We are looking for a committed, experienced upright bass player with vocals that loves the music style, can slap the bass when required and in general contributes actively to the setlist and sound. We gig around twice a month on average, some pubs but mainly vintage events and festivals. We currently practice outside Swindon but are open to other locations/suggestions if that's not convenient.
