I put 2 new songs up. the first "Nevermore" was recorded on a portable MP3 player in my living room. The 2nd one "Passing On" was recorded on 3 1/2 weeks of the flu. It's just a working draft to script the video to anyway. The finished recording will be a slightly faster tempo. maybe 15-20 sec.s shorter.
Yes I know the vocals are weak and waiver in & out of key but it was the best I could do with lungs full o phlem. No playing or singing for nearly a month didn't do the best for the bass line either; I play my bass only when writing or recording nowadays and had forgotten the bass line.
Anyway I hope you find something in them that connects us...

Okies, Hayden.
"Nevermore" - can't get the vox, & they're integral from what I can hear. Redo it & I might like it, but this is too rough for me. I like the chord progressions. It's got potential, & that's all I can say about it.
"Passing On" - much better guitar recording, here. Needs another instrument (keys?). Nice vocal effects. Very spacy, contrasting with the clean natural guitar sounds. Rerecord the voices when you're feeling more powerful. Very abrupt end!
Your whispery voice needs a sonic maximizer or something to bring it up brighter & stronger in the mix.
I like "Whore Love."

"Nevermore" reminds me of a Led Zeppelin tune and I like the recording quality. It gives it some mystery, but it still needs something.

it was recorded on a lil $50 MP3 player w/a built in mic in my living room Scott .
hmm, Zep eh. that's surprising.
thanks Phil. I'll pass that along to Austin and we can give that a shot if he has it. This is just to script the video with so it doesn't need to be good quality, but it may come in handy on the actual quality recording coming next.

(abrupt ending)
Phil If you listen closely there's an A note that slowly decays at the end o the song. It was supposed to be even w/the other levels. we'll fix that on the final recording!

I think those are going to be some great tunes when you get em as you like Mr King. They sound good like they are IMO.

Good songs I connected with both tunes but I’m left wanting more from the vocals though, a better mix (funny I ‘m the one telling you about mix) would do more justice to the songs.
