I hope your gigs went great. our band played at one of our regular venue's and now THATS WHAT I CALL A GIG!!!!!

We have been thru a lot of personell changes and I took Wed. off from work to visit local venue's and I booked 3 gigs 1 of them is a 2 nighter we can leave the p.a. there on Fri. and come back and play Sat. this will save us a lot of effort as you can well understand. I dropped off press packs all day Wed. and something happened that I am not used to. The club owner called me back the next day and HE IS A NICE GUY I couldn't believe it he said you guys have a good sound THIS FLOORED ME
I guess it has been so long since a club owner was nice to me. I think I sounded kinda desperate just because I could not believe they would be nice about it.

Also I put an ad on a local website that we are looking for a rythm guitar that can really sing and 3 guys called and they all showed up at the gig and not are they only rythm guitar players and real singers they also play keyboard . I guess we needed people like that in the audience because it inspired us to really lighten up and rock and we did and these guys really want to be in our band. So I guess things are looking up :D

Ours turned out pretty cool! Put this trio together last week and we were supposed to do a few rehearsals before our debut but we were asked to play Sat. already by a booking agent who got wind of my new project.... NO REHEARSALS....Just set up onstage and performed... the only weak spot was my back ground vocals as I've never even harmonized any of these new tunes we chose to do.... Turned out pretty well though...not great because not enough of our fan base got wind of this gig or already had somewhere elso to go by the time we mentioned the gig.... still walked out with a few bucks in my pocket and the satisfaction of knowing that both of my projects are gonna kick ass this Spring/Summer!

UMMMMM, PORK ! Fire up the barbi baby!

No gig, just the constant mulling over of day job change possability.

I guess I am spoiled. Being able to change employers at will in this economy is rare I think.
Jeanette and I have much to be thankfull for but we are struggling finacially right now. Yea sure I could work 12hrs a day 7 days a week as a nurse. But damn it I am sick of other people getting rich off my hard work.

Played a 45-minute acoustic set in the mall in town this past Friday. People enjoyed listening, and that's what matters.

Had to cancel my gig this weekend. :( D@mn flu.
Really upset about it too because they bought a new grand piano for the place and I really wanted to play it. 88 shiny keys of beauty with a beautiful black exterior. *sigh*

Ours turned out a littlle better than a stinking sh@@. Should Of cancelled when we found out 2 was dn with the flu. We dont know how to say no. It turned out more like a open jam than a gig. BUT...

Its just another day in Paradise !

I am sorry to hear you guys & gals are down with the flu, it has been going around here as well I had it just before Christmas and My voice is just now getting back to normal, it is a long slow process if you have the B-influenza.
Thats great crip if everyone does their homework and are good musicians with great improvisational skills you can pull it off. We do that sometimes we learn a song and never even rehearse it, I just put it on the list and we play it at a gig we just did this with Do You Feel Like We Do by Frampton, we never even rehearsed it and we brought the house down with it the first time we played it Woo! Hoo!

I should add the chick in the last picture with me is a gal named Jasmine Cain. She plays bass and sings in here own band Jasmine Cain. I caught them friday night in Jackson TN. Do a search on her. She is simply awesome. They are the first band Ive seen in a club that we play that would give my band a run for its money.

She does originals but they also did a lot of covers and played a regular club 4 hr gig. Covers they did were Spoonman, Outshined, Beautiful People, Show Me How To Live, Closer by NIN. Some of the covers she did Ive never heard a band do before. She had a packed house and just tore the place up. She plays all over the country with EasyRider conventions and lots of biker deals, so if you ever see her name and like some of the titles I mentioned. Check her out, you will not be dissapointed.

I played with John Lee Sanders Band (New Orlean Funk Blues) to a packed house on Saturday night with some of Canada's top musicians. It was like being in heaven, still have a buzz on.
