Looking for input. I am a vocalist and am really an ameture at mixing so forgive the production. The music is from an online friend of mine at newgrounds.com. All lyrics and vocals are recorded and mixed by me. All music is from "Crueldiety".
A progressive metal song 8mins + long.
I would appreciate your input. Thank you ahread of time.

Newgrounds?? haha good site.
Anyways, sounds good. Mix was just fine. Parts sounded forced for that kinda clean-vocal prog metal.
I liked it. There's an epic-ness bout it.

Excellent voice. Good emotion, I can understand you, & you have good vibrato, too, which is rare in the genre since the '80's.
The 1st song, though, I think I'd put in later in the list, since the intro is so long while I'm waiting for your voice to come in. If you're advertising your voice, put up something that your voice starts, imo.
Good stuff though, & well performed.

<-- late to the party as usual.
Good stuff. I'd say some better than others. I'd trim the list personally, take out the less refined stuff (like Death Comes Tonight - was very scratchy, over-dynamic) and keep 4-5 songs up.
I really liked that Raining Blood, and was left wanting more lol. Do you have a non-short demo version?
All in all, great voice, good music. I could see you covering maiden, priest, etc, without breaking a sweat.

Bump this thread the next time you update any of your stuff and keep rockin.

Lot's of talent there. I'll just critique the vox since that is your part. You do remind me of Jeff Tate. You have good tone and natural ability and CRAZY range. I don't like the style. I don't like the 80's metal sound (except whitesnake) Your vibrato is too Liza Manelli over the top at times and I really don't like the inspector gadget villain/cookie monster vocal part. Again you have a LOT of talent it just really is a matter of taste for me. Sounds like you are nailing the sound you are going for.

Wow thanks for all the great input and critique. I appreciate you all taking the time to listen to it. I'll take your recommendations when recording my next song.
@ neaderpaul, no sweat bro I am down with all input man. My style is founded in the "80's" Metal. Tate, Halford, Dickenson, Chuck Billy and Dio have been my inspirations since I can remember. I lean toward that style of melodies because that's the sound I am drawn to. I'm one of those 80's rejects LOL. My style isnt really for the masses and probably never will but my love for music keeps me sane.
Thanks again everyone.
PEACE!
Thom
