Thanks for the input you-all!! Much appreciated

It's good to be talking (or emailing- or foruming/posting ...) to other musicians again!
Ok, Yeah, I see what youre saying, I just listened to them and I think i would hit the 'next' button too . I'm kinda like an old dog that cant learn new tricks. Without a vocalist to put in the singing, I'm lost... **Need Vocalist**Need Band*** lol .. I may try to insert some vocals into them. My problem is that I cant write lyrics worth a sh*t ....

Z, listening now -
the 1st one is good. I like the tones, & the steadiness throughout. Needs a rough hollering voice, though, unless you're thinking of the high-pitched '80's style. Didn't like the abrupt end, though.
I like the way the 2nd one kinda schmoozes in. Can't get the voice. What's that lil jump at around :55? I think the recording just falls off the map at 1:20, or did you mean for that to happen? It seems out of time & is way too abrupt a change for me. It might work, but the recording doesn't seem to be playing right for me.
3rd one...bass needs more definition, it's too boomy to get the individual notes, & they are interesting enough to bring out. You're a good player. This one is a little cheesy for me, though...a bit overdone in the chord progression area. Nice licks & tone. I love the harmonizing instruments.
ZacH is another of those '80's power rock thingies at the start. Didn't like the tones on this one as much. Nice ripping, though. There does seem to be some effects at odds here between the instruments. Maybe it's just my cheesy speakers or the MP3 format that's causing this.
This last one is a hard-drive style that could really do without the tambourine/clicking things. They annoyed me right off the bat. I am impressed by your tasty picking. I like the changes in it, too.
You have some very good ideas here, that lots of us would undoubtedly love to help you develop with vocals, bass, real drumming, etc. I hope you find the ppl you seek, cuz you're good, you've devloped your talents well, & I like what I'm hearing, for the most part.

Philby-Thanks too! ---for your input!! --#1) You're right---needs a Hollerin' Voice, --2 its a cut and splice (poorly) of some of my vocal attempts-3-i think i just listened to a satriani tune :0) and 4- yeah power rock , i was doing it in the 70s and 80s ..lol.. and 5-- sorry that the clicking tamborine annoyed you

(kidding)--
-This forum is great Y'-all -- I appreciate you having me!!!

Hey ZXYZ, I had the PWI syndrome last night. I was typing so long my wife was trying to sleep and was asking me can you please type those keys a little softer, I think I could have written a book in the same amount of time. When I went to enter preview I discovered I had typed so long I had timed out and had to log back in and that erased everything I had typed which was probably a good thing. Anyways thats what I get for being PWI at 3:00am c s t

J, lol..sounds like some of my evenings

Fortunately, the pc is upstairs in the laboratory -heheh- (insert mad-scientist laugh here) (combination music/studio/electronics/laser room) so my wife cant hear me typing. She does complain when I crank the music up too loud tho

You just cant please some people

I do have a confession to make tho.. most of those songs I recorded over 10 years ago.. I havent written anything worth a sh*t in a while, but thanks to BandMix and You-All I have new inspiration and will try to put a song or 2 together... which brings me to something i posted on another thread about a collaborative effort.. If I put some tracks down, would any kick-ass vocalist be willing to put some singing in by downloading and uploading? I use adobe audition 2 but I guess you can import mp3 files to cakewalk etc... ? And mix 'em? Thanx You-All

The best music is the stuff that kicksass 10-20 years after it was written. So hopefully your new stuff will have the same quality.

Nice Iommi tone. Heavy and sweet. I know you play guitar, but the drums were not so good on XYZ. Sorry.
I liked ZacH as well. The other ones are not mah thing, but I guess they're well put together. XYZ is my favorite.

Thanks again You-All!

The 'drums' are a cheesy Dr. Rythym box. Not so great. I now have Acoustica Beatcraft program (still not all that great). I've heard "Drummer-from-hell" is a good program. Of course there's no substitute for talented real musicians...
