Shredd6/The Hunter collaboration

So.
I've added vocals and lead. I'm putting it up for download now, and for Shredd to download and mix/master.
I've decided to call it:

THE CLEANSING

Slowly finding the truth.
Bringing it to light.
No more days of confusion;
disillusion is in sight.
Conscience is the soul I see,
revealing all my past mistakes to me.
Why do we love and live and wander if we die eventually?
What does it mean to do all these things and what are they to me?
Will my spirit be ready for the cleansing?
How can I do right,
when temptation is so sweet?
Integrity is character's fight when moral ends fail to meet.
Finding now.
Beat me down.
Into the ground.
It's over.
Why do we love and live and wander if we die eventually?
What does it mean to do all these things and what are they to me?
Will my spirit be ready for the cleansing?

Nice job, gents. Yeah...the levels...you know.

Lyrics are good. Playing is good. Vocals are good. Melody is there.

I like it. Makes a good jam piece.

I listened to Shredd sample of this tune and liked the mood which it projects at the same time wondering how to complete this song, Hunter answered that question with his contribution and it seems to fit Shredd original idea at least in my mind of course Shredd has the final say on this.

A well done song usually when I listen to it brings me to places as well conjuring up images in my mind, this song transport me to a dark age/Gothic era during a pagan ritual, it has a haunting Gregorian chant quality to it without losing the contemporary, due to subjective nature of the exercise others may come up with different mind images.

I like the song as it is but it would be interesting to experiment further with an older board musician make his/her version of the tune not for the purpose of seeing who does it better but to explore what other places and images can this song bring to mind.

I should not be talking about the mix, anybody who has listened to my tunes knows that I'm not qualified, but I would have liked Shredd's guitar more present but this is a minor consideretion and does not impact the song.

Hope to hear more collaborations between two musicians, I think it's great that today's technology allows it.

Hunter, that's a killer lead tone.
I would really like to hear the other guitar tracks 'louder'.
And at about 2:56, I'd like to hear the backing vocal louder during the stops.
Great lyrics. Good vocals. Good music.
Just overall good stuff, and very atmospheric.

You guys kick around the idea of drums underneath it at all?

I liked it, reminded me of AIC or Staind.
