The 2008 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest is open, and this year, you can enter without filling up the landfill. Yes, thanks to a new partnership with Sonic Bids, you can enter the contest paperlessly -- for no extra charge! (Or, you can still mail in your songs, if you prefer.) And in honor of our fifth year of organizing songwriting contests, we’ve raised the Grand Prize and lowered the entry fee. No age limits, no song categories, and winners keep ALL rights to their songs. Entrants must be current residents of one of the eight states bordering the Great Lakes, or the Province of Ontario, Canada. Deadline is April 26. Go to
http://www.GreatLakesSongs.com for everything you need.

It's not me, I think my mug broke this thing. I've tried different pix and even wrote the webmaster, yet my avatar remains an enigma.
Finally, a contest for the "middle coasts".

Sorry Jimmy, I couldn't resist and I was in a bad mood.
Hey, when you select your pic to be your avatar, make sure you hit apply both on the page that you were on and then go back one page and do it again. (I had the same problem at one point and if you make sure to get that 2nd apply on one page earlier, it finally takes) (if you do it right, you'll see your avatar on all your posts right away)

Thanks Captain, I had to go to Forum options, I added a signature line and hit update - bingo! Now the world can see what thirty years of r&r can do to a guy.

Jimmy it isn't you, it's the site. You aren't the first to have that issue and I sincerely doubt you'll be the last. (I just caught it by accident and didn't want to see you suffer for no apparent reason.)
