Thanks
Not sure if I've heard Nothing else matters.
After the studio mix I almost didn't recognize this song either.
GA?

GA is "Guitar Anatomy" He is renting out his expertise on determining all things "Metallica". lol
Blair, not to nitpick but did you ever consider performing as a short hair type act? I think you have the sound to pull that off. (really) I'd have to hear the rest of your set, but when listening to your tune I would imagine you to be very clean cut in appearance.

Very nice job on your song, Blair. I have one gentle suggestion, though - maybe do a remix on the vocals and take down the presence of the pitch correction just a bit? It comes through as a bit robotic and I don't think that was your intention.

Absolute correct. Irms . I already had them do it alot it was real bad at first. Next recordings will be done with me there during mixing. Didn't have money or time to keep changing it. Checked out nothing else matters. Is same style But I'm deffinately no metallica.
Hair is usually in a pony tail so it looks short. Just an old hippie. Wife wont let me cut it.
Starting next CD shortly. They are compolation CD's Rap, Country, Jazz,Spoken word, Poetry, Contempoary, Gospel, All Christian styles of Praise and worship. 13 artists, 14 peices on the first CD.
Group UNIFIED TBOC 1st CD In the beginning. I'm not really a singer or guitarist, prefer writting.

Just listened again. I downloaded wrong copy. will replace in a day or 2 with the one I had changed. It's better but still starts a little off. Also had lead guitar
Lowered where the highs were to loud.

Blair,
I don't know what version of "Out in the Storm" I just listened to, but it sounded good to me.
While it may be true that your no Caruso, I found the timbre of your voice pleasantly listenable. You obviously have a good ear as well because your singing is spot on key.
Nice guitar playing. ( to my ear, the lead work has overtones of Mark Knopfler)
There can be no doubt that this song is a valuable asset to your profile, as well as a nice addition to our Bandmix forum community's growing library of good music of all kinds.
nice job,
Howlin'

I have listened and I think a lot of it is good: the atmosphere is perfect, the guitarplaying is beautiful, (and the recording of it is well done). I like the vocals and the lyrics. Your voice is pleasant, you can easily do leadvocals, not only because you have a good voice in essence but more important your feel and personality are inviting. yes indeed, I felt Mark Knopfler as well.!!!
thanks for sharing it. greetz Lony

I'm doing the finger picking of the chords. Larry Wallace is doing the lead. Yea, I think it has a Mark Knoppler sound with maybe a little Chris Issac too.
That song is good for my voice and range. But there's pitch correction in there. even though it's one of the songs I do that doesn't really need it.
Thanks for all the comments.

I think some vocal harmony in that song would be really cool, as well as a rip roaring lead sound that cut through the mix more. Very creative. Shockingly enough, the song sounds like one of mine I'm writing now!

Blair, I liked that tune a lot, I could feel the intent in your lyric like I was playin beside you. Kind of caught the giggles on that short hair comment though. You could not tell it but I am a long hair too. Yes I keep a military buzz on it these days I just got accustomed to it from being a fighter, hated getting my butt kicked because some guy caught hold of the locks.
Sorry back to tha song:
Very nice although my psychosis makes it hard for me to sit through such a slow tempo. Not a Crit just personal observation.
Thanks for the Music bro.

Blair,
Thats a great song. I feel you havent sang a whole lot in your life, but as the song progress's you really pull it out vocally. Keep working with your voice, you have a really good baritone that is just dieng to get out. The leads are classy but have maybe a little too much reverb for me. I liked the lyrics, you can listen and understand what you are saying and the intent. The lighthouse is real good imagery.
Next time you do some recording, if you have time. maybe double track some vocals to thicken up key lyrical points. Then if you get really adventurous vocally add a high or low harmony.
Thanks for sharing.

It was my first endever. Learned alot of what not to do. It is one of my favorate songs so at a later date I'll revisit and redo it. Have to start on song for 2nd CD next. either country, four grey walls about jail not Allman Brothers. faster contempoary, I've seen better days , about homeless. or Blues with jazz chords, How much I love you. Or wifes favorate, slower, goats and sheep. Or, or, or, bla bla bla
Thanks for all your comments. Wont freak out about the money and will put more into the next one.
Thats one of the better songs for my voice, sadly some of the stuff I write isn't good for my range. Oh well can't write everything in Am.
G works on some and ocasional D.
