I said I would post some freaky stuff Irminsul. I did. It's 4 track and bizarre. It's called "I'm gonna get you". I like writing authentic pop and rock with lofty goals, I love a sad song, but I also like to write songs that make people feel weird. I also posted 2 covers! Me... covers!?! "Photograph" by weezer. And an irreverent A Capella cover of Maggie McGill by The Doors.

HA, now that is alright! I love cool new takes on old standbys. Good work there bud. I like the vocal treatments, very layered and fun.

Thanks man! Maggie was a good time. Just myself and a mic up all night working at the station getting paid (peanuts) to record in a pro studio was a blast! I didn't edit it much. It was just a scratch track. I might do it again refined... one day. GA got all worked up over "I'm gonna get you" now that's what I'm really talkin' about!

Maggie McGill is totally A Capella my man. What sounds like a guitar is my voice. Or maybe that's what you meant by "If ya know what I'm sayin." There are some claps and the rest is my voice. Listen to this Tim McGraw song I did this one A Capella too. I've been doing A Capella longer than I've been paying instruments.

This one is really good for seeing exactly what I'm doing on the A Capella "guitar" parts.

By the way Texas rules!! I have lots of family there. "Don't mess with Texas"

Thanks man! :D I've never had a lesson. I can't read music. I was raised in the Church of Christ (A Capella) and my mom sings beautifully. So for me harmony and music in general just makes sense. It's like parallel lines almost. I mean I know harmonies aren't always "parallel", but they make that much sense to me. It's like I can see them lining up.

Thanks Anthony, you must be a little twisted to like "I'm gonna get you"
The vocal loops are a good time. I just mimic instruments basically. I love Ella Fitzgerald and her scatting is mind blowing. I don't have any yodeling tunes recorded. I can sing "she's a long gone " by Hank SR. and I've been known to sing the mountain climber yodel song from "the price is right" though!

irish anthony; like your posted music as well, the driving beats on punch drunk and left wanting, ya man I can bang my head to that, I mean its not metal but it has that pulse to it. is that what you would call alternative rock. Got so many names and divisions for stuff these days almost need a Navajo code man to figure it out. You guys are talented.

Metallica's version is better, lol. It is heavier, the heavier the better. Go Kirk Hammett!

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
