yes irminsul thats what comes with thousands of years of sitting in bars or houses hiding from the rain with little to do and nothing in the way of entertainment,we have a very strong sence of "do it yourself" in ireland and thats what we do,i think it all part of the "island" mentality if we dont do it who will type of thing,think about it...surrounded on all sides by water,bad food,worse weather its a case of "sing all our cares away" or just go crazy.

I do not know much French music, but they did give us Edith Piaf. Who was very talented, I only heard her sing once I believe, but her voice was nice.

As for the British (Note I have not read this whole thread, so if I missed something, whoops), they gave us a ton of rock bands that are awesome.

So no need for hate, period.

Couldn't agree more, Mr. Anatomy. My post was a swipe at the morons who jumped on to the French hate thing back when this stupid war started...you remember, that idiot Senator or Rep who wanted to rename French fries and French toast "Freedom fries" and "Freedom toast"?

Ironically, that same congressman did a 180 about two years ago and now opposes the war. I will never understand why so many of my countrymen are so quick to jump on the hate bandwagon. It's so f**k low class.

The whole Congress is low class, all of them sway back and forth with the tide. Not one is stagnate. I should make a song about this.

Yeah, I admit it. I hate the f u c k i n g french as well. God damn frogs! lol

Lets not bash frogs. They taste good with a nice brioche, or a side of drawn butter and a sassy shiraz.

I will not attack the frogs. But I am not eating them, bleh! Yuck. I am not into that kind of gourmet food, in fact I prefer fairly basic food. Unless it is steak or pork chops, then I want them done up very well. Tender, good seasoning, a little spice, some garlic mash potatoes, etc... Has to be good.

But no frogs...
