My name is July Cruise and I, in collaboration with Jermaine Dupree, created this festival when I noticed a need to minimize the pay to play model that has taken over the performance circuit for unsigned musicians. Local showcases are asking talent to pay hundreds of dollars or generate that amount themselves in ticket sales just to perform for 10 minutes. Our registration fee is only $20 and we won’t be leaving it up to the talent to promote our show.
