A couple of tunes first one still in the works but listenable
The second (if you get to it) a noisy heavier tune.

By my Side
I’m thankful for the sun and I’m thankful for the rains
The wonders of the universe and whatever created everything

But I don’t know if I found you or you found me
You can call it luck call it fate or destiny

Through all the years gone by you stayed by my side
Through all the years we tried we keep it alive… with you by my side

And there are rivers left to cross and mountains left to climb
You can burn my bones when I’m gone but we still have got some time

I don’t know if I found you or you found me
You can call it luck call it fate or destiny

Through all the years gone by you stayed by my side
Through all the years we tried we keep it alive
Through all the years’ hopes and fears we sang our song and we carried on and on
And on… on and on and on
On and on
On and on
On and on

I don’t know if I found you or you found me
You can call it luck call it fate or destiny

Through all the years gone by you stayed by my side
And all the years we’ve tried to keep it alive
Through all the years all the tears the good and bad hopes and fears
All the years gone by you stayed by my side
Yeah by my side

Mothers Down
We can sit and watch this fall apart
or we could take a stand for what we know is right

They put your children on the borders with their guns and marching orders
Who let the wolf inside the door you'll find us on the killing floor

Well I'm sick of all the lies they tell they're keeping us apart
Manipulate and confiscate is their science and their art
They don't want us to be united so who side are you on?
We the people do what's right we'll burn this... burn this Mother down

Maybe we'll just waste away thinking better days will come
or we could take a stand together become one

Are you living in an ivory tower you sell your soul for the money and power
Are you a warrior with a plan I still believe in the promise land

But I'm sick of all the lies they tell they're keeping us apart
Manipulate and confiscate is their science and their art
They don't want us to be united so who side are you on?
We the people do what's right we'll burn this... burn this mother down

Pull back the curtain open your eyes Oz was just a fool of lies
We don't live in the darkness before the dawn we're not from The Once Upon...
They don't want us to be united so who side are you on?
We the people do what's right we'll burn this... burn this mother down
Burn it all down

nicely done, Jahva!

i dug both of them. that first put a big smile on my face, and strikes a nice '70's acoustic/singer songwriter vibe in the wheelhouse of Batdorf & Rodney and Aztec Two Step. i still dig that stuff. well done. and i like the way you keep the tune moving forward. points for the tasteful little octave jumps you toss in at the right spots on bass.

yeah, you get back some testo point on "Mother's Down"! :) really nice gtr and bass tones! the gtr tones are just different enough to let each part breathe. and how cool getting to play with your son....right on.

Jookey I was really digging the acoustic tunes then i listened to the Sam I am stuff 8) really cool guitar work all around... some of it very funky almost Sly and the family... like when they'd cut loose.
You've got a lot of interesting sounds but the Sam stuff hit me good!

Wild as it gets... I hear some Sabbath coming through trippy like at times though... I like the tightness about most of it but still unpredictable to where some things could go.... Fine ass committee drew me the most.

I swim in the shallow end when it comes to music knowledge and as a writer so... I just give a listen or two and either find something I like... or don't.

for what it's worth I enjoyed both... 8)

Thanks for the listens.

I have a special new pick up that plays bass (mostly -1 octave) signal to the bass amp, so I haven't overdubbed anything on most of my feed. I do want to add keyboard parts and I'm looking for another player on keys, horns or vocals.

The Fineass Committee stuff was 5+ years ago with another very professional drummer and I added the other parts after the first take. Everything was played all the way through.

Nowadays, I have drummer who wasn't even a musician until recently (in his late 20s) and he follows what I play and goes completely by feel. I record our entire session every weekend and whittle it down into songs on audacity. It's fun, but really, we're not as good as we sound. Just doing what I can to keep from going crazy and seeing what I come up with.

I appreciate the feedback. Do you have a soundcloud page or just do it all on dropbox? Where can we hear more?

Yeah I've got a few pages... I neglect
My SC page has some recent tunes, mostly some older ones. I probably should go through it and dump some of it.
But nothing too bad...
I redo songs over and over trying to get em right or better, so there are multiple versions on some.
I would lead you to listen to:

Apparently, things have changed and now your entire soundcloud roster can go up on your player here. Even if you're a freeloading mooch like me.
